Provided is a detergent composition that contains (A) 2-17.5 mass % of an anionic surfactant, (B) 1-17.5 mass % of an amphoteric surfactant, (C) 2.5-17 mass % of a hydrophilic non-ionic surfactant and (D) 0.2-5 mass % of an oily component. However, the detergent composition does not contain substantial amounts of fatty acid monoglycerol esters and fatty acid monoalkyl monoglyceryl ethers having alkyl groups or acyl groups having 9 or more carbon atoms. The detergent composition does not contain substantial amounts of fatty acid diglycerol esters or fatty acid monoalkyl diglyceryl ethers which have alkyl groups or acyl groups having 8 or more carbon atoms.

A medium supply apparatus includes a box member and a lid. A medium is stored inside the box member. The box member is inserted into and extracted from a body of an image forming apparatus, and has a length in an extraction/insertion direction that is longer than a length of the body in the extraction/insertion direction. The lid is provided on a back side of the body in the extraction/insertion direction of the box member to cover at least an upper part of a portion of the box member that projects from the body. The lid includes a first member, a second member, and a first lug. The first member is movable in the extraction/insertion direction with respect to the body. The second member is moved by being pushed by the box member which is inserted into the body. The first lug is provided on the second member. To provide a transparent to translucent cosmetic composition which is highly stable, and can impart excellent actual feelings of effectiveness in use, such as a feeling of skin penetration, a feeling of non-stickiness, and a skin-softening effect after application thereof to the skin. A transparent to translucent cosmetic composition comprising: (a) a hydrogenated phospholipid, (b) one or more selected from among branched higher fatty acids and higher alcohols, and (c) a polyalcohol that acts as a good solvent and/or a poor solvent for component (a). The present invention provides a cleanser which is excellent in both of the foaming property and the cleansing capability. The cleanser comprises an organosiloxane derivative salt represented by the following formula (1) or (3) and one or more anionic surfactants selected from a group consisting of carboxylate salt with an alkyl group having 10 to 20 carbon atoms, sulfate salt with an alkyl group having 10 to 20 carbon atoms, sulfonate salt with an alkyl group having 10 to 20 carbon atoms, and phosphate salt with an alkyl group having 10 to 20 carbon atoms.

The present invention provides new silica composite capsules that can be easily prepared, a composition containing the silica composite capsules, and a transparent gel-form composition excellent in appearance transparency and texture in use, and in particular, a transparent gel-form composition with improved cleansing properties when used as a cleanser. Micelle/silica composite capsules can easily be obtained, in an aqueous system, by mixing a material capable of forming micelles in water and a water-soluble silane derivative having a specific structure in aqueous solution. In addition, emulsion/silica composite capsules wherein the periphery of emulsion particles in the inner phase is coated with silica, can easily be obtained by mixing a surfactant, water, an oil, and a water-soluble silane derivative having a specific structure. Moreover, a transparent gel-form composition showing excellent appearance transparency, the texture in use and cleansing properties, can be obtained by blending a water-soluble silane derivative having a specific structure into the formulation that contains a surfactant, an oil and water, and capable of taking a surfactant association structure with aqueous continuous phase or both of aqueous continuous phase and oil continuous phase in the formulation.

A device for controlling a propagation direction of noise, which is preferably associated with a sound insulating wall to significantly improve its sound reducing effect of alleviating noise emitted from a noise source such as a railroad, highway and the like on which an electric car and automobiles run. The device comprises a hollow structural body composed of a plurality of elongated vertical hollow passages arranged at right angles to a substrate and spaced apart from each other by means of partition walls. The upper noise inlet side surface of the hollow passages face a propagation direction of noise emitted from the noise source and serve to refract and lag in phase the noise passed therethrough, thereby producing a sound reducing region located intermediate between a direct sound propagation and the refracted sound propagation. In one embodiment, a pair of hollow structural bodies are arranged in opposition to each other to form an arch type device. In another embodiment, the hollow structural body may be provided at its noise inlet or outlet side surface with an extension of the hollow passages.
