An image processing apparatus includes a processor comprising hardware. The processor is configured to: acquire a movement amount of a capsule endoscope in a movement direction of the capsule endoscope, based on information transmitted from the capsule endoscope including an imaging sensor; and determine whether to associate a first image captured by the imaging sensor with a second image, which is captured by the imaging sensor and is captured at a time different from a time in which the imaging sensor captures the first image, based on an imaging distance of the imaging sensor in the movement direction, and the movement amount.

A capsule endoscope includes an image pickup device, a memory configured to store brightness information acquired by the image pickup device, and a control section configured to perform control to compare the brightness information acquired by the image pickup device with brightness information acquired by the image pickup device immediately before acquiring the brightness information and stored in the memory, cause the image pickup device to acquire brightness information when the comparison result is no greater than a threshold, compare the acquired brightness information with the brightness information acquired by the image pickup device immediately before and stored in the memory, and cause the image pickup device to pick up an image when the comparison result is greater than the threshold and cause the memory to store the picked-up image or cause an image transmitting section provided in the capsule endoscope to transmit the image to outside the capsule endoscope.

Capsule endoscope and capsule endoscope system

An in-vivo information acquiring system previously sets synchronization signals for each imaging unit which captures an image. In the in-vivo information acquiring system, a capsule endoscope transmits scan-line data of an image to be transmitted using the synchronization signal corresponding to the imaging unit which captures the image to be transmitted, and a receiving apparatus identifies that the received scan-line data forms the image captured by the imaging unit corresponding to the detected synchronization signal by detecting the synchronization signal from received information.

In-vivo information acquiring system

A capsule endoscope includes: a light emitting unit; an imaging unit; an image signal processing unit; and a setting unit that controls the light emitting unit and the imaging unit to perform pre-exposure, measures at least one of a light emission time and a light emission intensity, sets the measured time or intensity for a main exposure process when the measured time or intensity is within a predetermined acceptable range, and sets at least one of the preset light emission time and light emission intensity for the main exposure process when the measured time or intensity is out of the acceptable range, wherein an acquisition process of an image is performed in accordance with the set light emission time or the set light emission intensity.

Capsule endoscope

The in-vivo image acquiring apparatus includes an imaging unit which captures an inside of a subject, a transmission processing unit which wirelessly transmits the image information captured by the imaging unit, a power supply unit which supplies driving power for each unit of the apparatus, and a switching unit which detects an external input and switches a supply state of the driving power from the power supply unit. The apparatus also includes a mode setting unit which sets predetermined operation modes based on information of the external input which is input to the switching unit, and a control unit which controls the operation of each unit of the apparatus according to the operation mode set by the mode setting unit.

In-vivo image acquiring apparatus and in-vivo image acquiring system

A body-insertable apparatus includes an imaging unit that captures an in-vivo image of a subject; a signal processing unit that writes the in-vivo image in a memory, reads the in-vivo image from the memory on a pixel basis and converts the in-vivo image to serial information to transfer the serial information; and a rate converter that converts a transfer processing rate to a rate higher than a writing processing rate. The transfer processing rate is at which the signal processing unit reads the in-vivo image from the memory and converts the in-vivo image to the serial information to transfer the serial information. The writing processing rate is at which the signal processing unit writes the in-vivo image in the memory. The apparatus also includes a transmitting unit that wirelessly transmits the serial information transferred from the signal processing unit at a transmission rate corresponding to the transfer processing rate.

In-vivo information acquiring system and body-insertable apparatus

An imaging apparatus includes a noise reduction circuit which eliminates a random noise generated in an analogue signal processing by equalizing, via an averaging processing, image data of correlated multiple images within one frame period which is captured by an image sensor and to which the analogue signal processing is performed in an AFE block, and the imaging apparatus in itself deals with the image data of the correlated multiple images within the one frame period and outputs the data to a wireless module after eliminating the random noise generated in the analogue signal processing.

Imaging apparatus and in-vivo image obtaining apparatus

An in-vivo information acquiring system includes a body-insertable apparatus that transmits a wireless signal containing an in-vivo image, and a receiving apparatus that receives the wireless signal. The body-insertable apparatus includes an imaging unit, a selecting unit, and a transmitting unit. The imaging unit captures in-vivo images. The selecting unit selects an in-vivo image to be added with unique information from the in-vivo images. The transmitting unit additionally arranges an identification signal, which is written according to a signal sequence rule of synchronization signals added to scanning line information about the in-vivo image selected by the selecting unit, in a position corresponding to positions in which the synchronization signals are arranged, adds unique information corresponding to the identification information after the identification information, and transmits the in-vivo image added with the unique information.

An in-vivo image acquiring system having a body-insertable apparatus and a processing apparatus. The body-insertable apparatus has an imaging unit which captures images of the inside of the subject, and a transmitting unit which attaches type information to the image information and transmits the image information to the outside of the subject. The processing apparatus has an image processing unit which acquires optical information corresponding to the type information attached to image information to be processed and processes the image information to be processed using an image processing program which corresponds to the acquired optical information. The type information indicates an applied portion of the body-insertable apparatus. The processing apparatus also processes image information corresponding to portions other than the applied portions of the body-insertable apparatus as image information to be processed.
