According to an embodiment of the invention, a descaling system is provided that includes multiple descaling headers, a common pipe, a connection pipe, a pump, a drive device, a branch pipe, a valve, and a control device. The multiple descaling headers are provided in a rolling line. The common pipe is connected to each of the multiple descaling headers. The connection pipe is connected to the common pipe. The pump is connected to the connection pipe and supplies high pressure water to each of the multiple descaling headers via the connection pipe and the common pipe. The drive device controls the driving of the pump. The branch pipe is connected to the connection pipe. The valve is provided in the branch pipe and controls the opening/closing of the branch pipe. The control device includes a data collector, a pressure calculator, a pump controller, and a protector. The data collector collects common pipe pressure information indicating the pressure inside the common pipe, rolling material position information indicating the position on the rolling line of a rolling material, and rolling material property information indicating a material property of the rolling material. The pressure calculator calculates the pressure inside the common pipe to satisfy the desired scale removal performance for the rolling material based on the common pipe pressure information, the rolling material position information, and the rolling material property information. The pump controller calculates the operation pattern of the pump to maintain the calculated pressure inside the common pipe and inputs the operation pattern to the drive device. The protector calculates the operation amount of the valve based on the operation pattern and controls the opening/closing of the valve according to the operation amount. Thus, a descaling system, a control device of the descaling system, and a method for controlling the descaling system are provided, in which higher energy conservation is realized and the descaling system has a long life while maintaining the scale removal performance of the descaling system.

A power management device managing electric power in a load facility group including plural load facilities includes: a detector that detects an instantaneous value of power consumption for each of the plural load facilities; a forecaster that forecasts an instantaneous value of power consumption for each of the plural load facilities; an operation unit that obtains a difference between the value detected by the detector and the value forecasted by the forecaster, for each of the plural load facilities; a controller that outputs a storage command or a discharge command based on whether the difference obtained by the operation unit is positive or negative; and a storage/discharge device that stores/discharges electricity based on the storage command or the discharge command output by the controller. The power management device can respond to instantaneous and steep power consumption amount change in a load facility to enable efficient use of power.

An electricity demand prediction system includes electricity usage data collection means, production schedule storage means, model creation means, and short-term electricity demand prediction means. The electricity usage data collection means collects electricity usage data of each device and causes electricity usage data storage means to store the collected electricity usage data. The model creation means creates an electricity amount calculation model of each prescribed product type for each device on the basis of the electricity usage data stored in the electricity usage data storage means and a past production schedule stored in the production schedule storage means. The short-term electricity demand prediction means computes future electricity demand for each device on the basis of the electricity amount calculation model created by the model creation means and a future production schedule stored in the production schedule storage means.

A control device for a rolling plant, which is capable of reducing the pouring amount of cooling water by pouring cooling water at timing of high cooling efficiency when a material being rolled is cooled, and thereby being capable of saving the energy consumption. The control device includes a plurality of rolling stands that are arranged in tandem on a rolling line to roll the material being rolled of a metallic material conveyed on the rolling line, and inter-stand cooling systems that are provided between the plurality of rolling stands to pour cooling water onto the conveyed material being rolled. The inter-stand cooling systems are configured so that the pouring amount of cooling water poured from the inter-stand cooling system positioned on the upstream side on the rolling line is larger, and the pouring amount of cooling water poured from the inter-stand cooling system positioned on the downstream side is smaller.

It is to provide a method of transferring a program to an internal memory from an external memory at a high speed and at a high efficiency. The external memory has program data to be transferred and set data of a dedicated register including wait information of the program data. A microcomputer has an internal ROM to which a transfer program for transferring data to an internal RAM from the external memory is prestored. If a CPU in the microcomputer accesses set data for the dedicated register at the head address of the external memory and receives the set data including the wait information of data to be transferred when reset is released, the data is transferred to the internal RAM via an address bus and a data bus by executing the transfer program in the internal ROM. An area of the transferred data in the internal RAM is rearranged at an area including a boot area and a vector table and the program data is executed by the CPU.
