Display devices with simplified duty driving are disclosed. In one example, a display device includes a pixel array, row signal lines, data lines, and a vertical drive circuit. In the pixel array, pixels including a light emitting element and a pixel circuit are arranged in rows and columns. The row signal lines respectively transmit control signals for the pixel circuits in respective rows. The data lines respectively transmit image signal for respective columns. The vertical drive circuit generates the control signals for line-sequentially driving the pixels and via the row signal lines. The vertical drive circuit includes a decode circuit that outputs a selection signal to the row selected according to an input address signal and outputs the selection signals according to the address signals input every horizontal scanning period in the line-sequential driving and generates a control signal based on the output selection signals.

A display apparatus includes a board including a driving circuit based on a current amplitude modulation scheme, multiple first light emitting elements and multiple second light emitting elements two-dimensionally arranged on the board, and a wavelength correcting layer that is able to correct wavelengths of light emitted from the multiple first light emitting elements. A display apparatus includes a pixel array section that has pixels arranged in a row direction and a column direction in a two-dimensional matrix pattern, each of the pixels including a display element; a scanning line provided for each of the pixel rows arranged in the row direction; and a data line provided for each of the pixel columns arranged in the column direction. With the data line in a state of holding a video signal voltage, the voltage of a scanning line different from the scanning line of the pixel targeted for writing is changed so as to vary the voltage of the data line via a capacity between the data line and the scanning line.
