A cleaning management apparatus manages bedside cleaning for an endoscope connected to an examination apparatus. After an examination is completed, a measurement unit measures the operation time of a predetermined operation button of the endoscope. A recording control unit records that a preliminary cleaning has already been performed when the operation time that has been measured satisfies a completion condition. A notification unit gives notice of a message indicating that the preliminary cleaning is completed when the measured operation time satisfies the completion condition.

A playback processing unit causes a display device to display an endoscopic image recorded in an endoscopic image recording unit. A display time setting unit sets a display time of endoscopic images displayed by the playback processing unit on the display device in the order of imaging. A display time measurement unit measures the display time of each endoscopic image. A time information storage unit stores information related to the display time measured by the display time measurement unit. An acknowledgment unit acknowledges a user operation input. The playback processing unit causes the display device to display the endoscopic image in accordance with the user operation input acknowledged by the acknowledgment unit. The time information storage unit stores information related to a cumulative display time of each endoscopic image.

An optical device includes a first optical member and a second optical member formed of a medium having a refractive index greater than 1, and a multiple layer film section. The multiple layer film section has a structure in which at least two types of thin film layers namely a first thin film layer and a second thin film layer which has a refractive index higher than a refractive index of the first thin film layer, are stacked alternately. The first optical member and the second optical member are joined by an adhering means (an adhesive), and satisfy a predetermined condition. At the multiple layer film section, from a light incident, a light in a first wavelength band is let to be reflected, and a light in a second wavelength band which is shorter than the first wavelength band, and a light in a third wavelength band which is longer than the first wavelength band is let to pass (to be transmitted).

The invention provides a dichroic mirror having a transmission characteristic in which a step due to splitting of P-polarized and S-polarized light can be reduced and having a fluorescence-transmitting band extending to long wavelengths. The invention also provides a fluorescence filter set that can be constructed of environmentally conscious glass materials that do no use harmful substances, such as lead, and a fluoroscopy apparatus including such a fluorescence filter set. The dichroic mirror comprises a transparent substrate and a dielectric multilayer film formed by alternately laminating high-refractive-index layers and low-refractive-index layers on the transparent substrate. The dielectric multilayer film includes from 50 to 150 alternately laminated high-refractive-index layers and low-refractive-index layers each having an optical film thickness from 1.5&#x3bb;/4 to 2.5&#x3bb;/4, where &#x3bb;is a design wavelength, and the dichroic mirror has a reflection band located at wavelengths shorter than the design wavelength.
