An air gap of a rotation speed sensor is increased. A rotation speed sensor according to one embodiment includes: a sensor component having magnetic sensing elements; and a magnetic plate that is arranged between the sensor component and a magnet and that is made of a magnetic material. In a first direction that is a direction in which the sensor component, the magnetic plate and the magnet are arranged, the magnetic plate includes an opening that is formed at a position overlapping center of a line connecting respective centers of the magnetic sensing elements.

Rotation speed sensor

A turbo rotation sensor, which is configured to be mounted on a turbocharger provided with a compressor including a rotary driven compressor wheel housed in a compressor housing, to detect rotation speed of the compressor wheel, is composed of a magnet rotatable integrally with the compressor wheel and having a plurality of magnetic poles in a circumferential direction of the compressor wheel, and a sensor section attached to the compressor housing and including first and second magnetic detection elements capable of detecting a magnetic field in a radial direction of the compressor wheel due to the magnet. The first and second magnetic detection elements are arranged side by side in the radial direction of the compressor wheel. The rotation speed of the compressor wheel can be measured based on a difference between detection results of the first and second magnetic detection elements resulting from a difference between their respective distances from the magnet.

Turbo rotation sensor

A turbo rotation sensor includes a magnet magnetized with two different magnetic poles along a circumferential direction about a rotating shaft of a compressor wheel and provided at an end portion of the compressor wheel on the air intake side, and a sensor portion that is housed in a sensor hole formed on the housing, is arranged to face the magnet in a radial direction of the rotating shaft, and includes two magnetic field detecting elements capable of measuring variation in magnetic flux density caused by the magnet. The two magnetic field detecting elements are aligned in a direction parallel to the rotating shaft so that the respective detection axes are parallel to an axial direction of the rotating shaft. The rotational speed of the compressor wheel is detected based on a difference between the magnetic field strengths detected by the two magnetic field detecting elements.

Turbo rotation sensor and turbocharger

A phase shifter includes a signal conductor constituting a transmission line for a signal transmitted through an antenna element, a dielectric plate including a dielectric material disposed to face to the signal conductor, and a mobile mechanism for moving the dielectric plate. A facing area between the signal conductor and the dielectric plate is changed by a movement of the dielectric plate, to change a phase of the signal transmitted through the signal conductor. The dielectric plate includes a transformer unit for impedance matching between an overlapped portion in which the signal conductor faces to the dielectric plate and a non-overlapped portion in which the signal conductor does not face to the dielectric plate. The signal conductor includes an input-side signal conductor which extends from the non-overlapped portion to the overlapped portion via the transformer unit, and an output-side signal conductor which is electrically connected to an end of the input-side signal conductor on a side of the overlapped portion and extends from the overlapped portion to the non-overlapped portion without any intervention of the transformer unit.
