A prescription assistance device includes a control unit configured to acquire attribute data indicating an attribute of a patient, time series data on a state of the patient, and drug history data indicating a prescription history of a drug for the patient, configured to predict, based on the attribute data, the time series data, and the drug history data, an effect of the drug for each of a plurality of prescription candidates in which combinations of a type, an administration amount, and an administration timing of the drug are different from one another, and configured to present a prediction result to a user.

A medical device and method are disclosed which can cause a filter included in a cylinder to capture a capturing target by causing a fluid including a circulating flow to flow inside and around the cylinder introduced into a living body. The medical device has a filter, a cylinder, and an impeller. The filter captures a capturing target present inside a living body. The cylinder includes a lumen having the filter arranged therein, an aspiration section, which is open on the distal side of the lumen, and a discharge section which is open on a side surface on a proximal side of the lumen. The impeller is arranged on a proximal side of the filter in the lumen, and causes the lumen to aspirate the capturing target together with a fluid by causing the fluid to flow from the aspiration section toward the discharge section inside the living body.

Medical device

A calculus removing device includes a retaining portion (e.g., a wire or gel), a cylinder, an introduction tube, and a hand-operated unit. The retaining portion is configured to retain calculi and broken calculus pieces. The cylinder includes a storage portion configured to store the calculi, an opening communicating with the storage portion, and an introducing portion configured to permit the retaining portion to be introduced into the storage portion. The introduction tube is provided with a lumen which allows introduction of the retaining portion into the storage portion via the introducing portion. The hand operating unit is provided with an operating member configured to operate the introduction of the retaining portion into the storage portion.

Calculus removing device

A calculus removing device includes a cylinder, a screw, and a hand-operated unit. The cylinder includes a storage portion configured to store calculi and broken calculus pieces, and an opening communicating with the storage portion. The screw is helically-shaped, is arranged in the storage portion and is configured to move the calculi to a proximal end of the cylinder while drawing the calculi into the storage portion thereof via the opening in association with the rotation of the cylinder about an axial line along a longitudinal direction of the cylinder. The hand-operated unit includes an operating member for rotating the screw.

A medical device and method are disclosed, which can sufficiently capture a capturing target even if a lumen is deformed. A medical device has an accommodation unit and an impeller holding unit. The accommodation unit includes a lumen which accommodates a capturing target present inside a living body, in which a shape of at least a portion on a distal side is deformable, and whose inner surface before and after deformation is configured to be flat as a whole, a distal opening portion and a proximal opening portion which respectively communicate with the lumen, and a filter for capturing at least one or more of the capturing targets. A method of retrieving calculus in a renal pelvis of a living body involves positioning an enclosure in the renal pelvis, creating convection in the renal pelvis by introducing liquid into the renal pelvis from outside the living body to lift the calculus from a surface of the renal pelvis, retrieving the calculus in the renal pelvis by creating a vacuum in the enclosure while the enclosure is located in the renal pelvis so that the calculus are drawn into the enclosure, wherein the vacuum also draws the liquid into the enclosure, and withdrawing the enclosure from the renal pelvis while the calculus is in the enclosure.

A discharge device and method are disclosed that can discharge a discharge substance with a desired discharge amount at a desired flow rate. A storage unit provided in a discharge device includes a storage space which can store a discharge substance, and a discharge section which can discharge the discharge substance stored in the storage space toward the proximal side of a main body in an axial direction, and is configured to be capable of expanding deformation and contracting deformation in response to introduction and discharge of the discharge substance.

Devices and systems are provided to determine the condition of a subject comprehensively on the basis of a measurement result of a body water meter. The body water meter measures the amount of water in a subject's body and includes direction means and output means. The direction means, when water amount data is acquired through the measurement of the amount of water, directs a server that manages data regarding living body information on the subject to search for another piece of data acquired through measurement of living body information on the subject other than the amount of water and that satisfies a predetermined measurement condition. The output means outputs a message indicating the condition of the subject which is determined on the basis of the water amount data and the other piece of data on the subject received in response to the direction from the direction means.

A medical device and method are disclosed which can facilitate maintenance work of a filter for capturing a capturing target, and which can improve operability or convenience in the maintenance work. The medical device has an accommodation unit, an impeller holding unit, and a filter. The accommodation unit accommodates a capturing target which is present inside a living body. The impeller holding unit includes an impeller which causes a fluid to flow from a distal side toward a proximal side inside the living body so as to cause the accommodation unit to aspirate the capturing target together with the fluid. Here, the impeller holding unit is configured to be attachable to and detachable from the accommodation unit on a proximal side of the accommodation unit. The filter is arranged in the accommodation unit and/or the impeller holding unit, and captures at last one or more of the capturing target.

A method involves introducing a gathering part into a lumen in an ureteral access sheath in which is located calculus, wherein at least a part of the ureteral access sheath is located in an ureter in a living body. The gathering part is moved along the lumen in the ureteral access sheath in a forward direction toward the calculus, and then movement of the gathering part in the forward direction is stopped to position the gathering part adjacent the calculus so that the calculus is positioned between the distal end of the ureteral access sheath and the gathering part. The gathering part is expanded while the gathering part is positioned adjacent the calculus, and the calculus is then introduced into the gathering part.
