A water-based composition of the present disclosure includes a metal pigment, a polyoxyalkylene amine compound, and a water-based medium, in which the metal pigment is formed of a plurality of metal particles, the metal particles are surface-modified by a surface treatment agent, and a content of the polyoxyalkylene amine compound is 0.1 parts by mass or more and 50 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the metal particles.

Water-based composition and coloring method

An ink jet ink composition contains a metal pigment and at least one liquid medium selected from the group consisting of organic solvents and water. The metal pigment is surface-modified with a surface treatment agent. The metal pigment is in the form of scale-like particles and has a volume average particle size Dof 1.0 μm or less. The ratio D/Z of the volume average particle size Dof the metal pigment to the average thickness Z of the metal pigment particles is 17 or more, and the ratio D/L of the volume average particle size Dto the nozzle diameter L of the ink jet head is 0.050 or less.

A composition for aqueous ink jet contains a specific dye which is one or more coloring materials selected from the group consisting of C. I. Acid Black 172 and C. I. An ink jet textile printing ink contains 5% by mass to 20% by mass of a water-soluble dye, water, a water-soluble organic solvent, and active carbon particles. The active carbon particles include particles having a particle size of 50 nm to 1000 nm, and the active carbon particles having the particle size of 50 nm to 1000 nm are contained in a proportion of 500 to 300000 particles per milliliter. Also, the active carbon particles may include particles having a particle size of 50 nm to 200 nm, and the active carbon particles having a particle size of 50 nm to 200 nm may be contained in a proportion of 2000 to 30000 particles per milliliter.
