A centrally controlled multi-patient dialysis treatment system () as disclosed herein comprises: a dialysate preparation unit () configured to prepare a dialysate based on a prescription and control dialysate delivery for dialysis treatments in progress; one or more dialysate modules () configured to deliver the dialysate to a dialyzer () and control an ultrafiltration process; and one or more patient modules () configured to control an extracorporeal blood flow through the dialyzer () for the dialysis treatment, wherein the dialysate preparation unit (), the dialysate modules () and the patient modules () are configured to be adapted to be assembled into an integrated dialysis treatment system suitable for one or more patients (). Also an use of the centrally controlled multi-patient dialysis treatment system () for one or more patients' dialysis treatments is disclosed herein. For the centrally controlled multi-patient dialysis treatment system, in contrast to the conventional in-center dialysis infrastructures, in addition to cost saving, it is highly space efficient. Moreover, the centrally controlled multi-patient dialysis treatment system is robust and easy to setup.

Centrally controlled multi-patient dialysis treatment system and its use

A dialysis device comprises at least a first membrane and a second membrane, wherein a first chamber formed by the first membrane is configured to receive a first fluid; a second chamber formed by the second membrane is configured to receive a second fluid; a third chamber formed in between a housing, the first membrane and the second membrane is configured to receive a third fluid; the first fluid flowing through the first membrane can be indirectly communicated with the second fluid flowing through the second membrane via the third fluid. A dialysis system, use of the dialysis device, a method for establishing the dialysis system, a method for filling and/or priming the dialysis system and a method for removing air are further disclosed. The dialysis device and the dialysis system are suitable for viscous biological dialysis fluid and no direct flow occurs between the patient and the dialysis fluid.

A method for stabilizing dialysate consumption flow in a central distribution loop for a plurality of dialysis machines comprises: coordinating each dialysate dispensing cycle of active ones of the dialysis machines; calculating dialysate or concentrates consumption based on amount required in each dialysate dispensing cycle of the active dialysis machines; and preparing the dialysate based on the calculated dialysate or concentrates consumption required by the active dialysis machines. Also a corresponding apparatus and a corresponding central dialysate preparation and distribution system are disclosed, wherein the apparatus at least comprises: a coordinating module configured to coordinate each dialysate dispensing cycle of active ones of the dialysis machines; a calculating module configured to calculate dialysate or concentrates consumption based on amount required in each dialysate dispensing cycle of the active dialysis machines; and a mixing control module, for preparing the dialysate based on the calculated dialysate or concentrates consumption.
