An LCD device includes a transmissive LCD panel assembly, a backlight assembly for supplying light to the LCD panel assembly, and a selective reflection film provided between the backlight assembly and the LCD panel assembly. A display region of the LCD has a low-resolution area and a high-resolution area, and a pixel formed in the low-resolution area that is larger than a pixel formed in the high-resolution area.

Thin film transistor panel and liquid crystal display using the same

A display apparatus includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a driver chip. The first substrate includes a plurality of gate lines disposed in the display area and extended in a first direction, a plurality of data lines disposed on a gate insulating layer insulating the gate lines and extended in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, and a gate driving circuit section disposed in the first peripheral area adjacent to first ends of the gate lines. The second substrate is opposite to the first substrate. A liquid crystal is interposed between the first and second substrates. The driver chip is disposed in the second peripheral area adjacent to second ends of the gate lines opposite to the first ends so that the width of the upper and lower portions of the display area may be decreased.

Display apparatus

A display device includes a display panel, a source driving part, a gate driving part, a readout part and a pulse generating part. The display panel includes an array substrate on which a source line and a gate line are formed, and an opposite substrate on which a common electrode is formed. The readout part is electrically connected with at least one of the lines of the array substrate and the common electrode of the opposite substrate, and reads out a detection signal during an elimination period of a frame period. The pulse generating part outputs a control pulse for driving the readout part during the elimination period. Accordingly, a detection signal is read out through lines or a common electrode that are/is formed for displaying an image, so that an aperture ratio may be increased, and a manufacturing process thereof may be simplified.

A method of manufacturing an organic light emitting display apparatus by utilizing a deposition apparatus for forming an organic layer on a substrate includes: fixing the substrate to a mask assembly for forming a common layer or a mask assembly for forming a pattern layer in a loading unit; when the one or more deposition assemblies are separated from the substrate, forming an intermediate layer by depositing a deposition material discharged from the one or more deposition assemblies in a deposition unit of the deposition apparatus onto the substrate while the substrate is moved relative to the one or more deposition assemblies by a first conveyer unit; and separating the substrate on which the deposition is finished from the mask assembly for forming the common layer or the mask assembly for forming the pattern layer in an unloading unit.

Method of manufacturing organic light emitting display apparatus

An apparatus for manufacturing encapsulated liquid crystals including at least one first flow duct configured to have liquid crystals flow therethrough, at least one second flow duct configured to have encapsulation film materials flow therethrough, a third flow duct configured to have an inflow portion connected to an outflow portion of the first flow duct and an outflow portion of the second flow duct and to have liquid crystal droplets in which the liquid crystals and the encapsulation film materials are mixed flow therethrough, and a curing machine configured to manufacture the encapsulated liquid crystals by curing the liquid crystal droplets.

Apparatus and method for manufacturing encapsulated liquid crystals and liquid crystal display including the encapsulated liquid crystals

Provided is a flexible display device including a display body having flexibility; an actuator for changing and driving the display body; and an initial shape forming substrate for maintaining an initial state of the display body before the display body is changed and driven. The flexible display device allows a user to exactly control a change state of the flexible display device by driving the actuator and to decrease power consumption for changing and driving the flexible display device. Thus, by using the flexible display device, user convenience can be improved and the flexible display device can be driven with low power consumption.

In a touch sensible display device, a first sensing unit is connected to a row sensor data line and outputs a first sensing signal according to a touch, and a second sensing unit is connected to a column sensor data line and outputs a second sensing signal according to the touch. A sensing signal processor alternately applies a reset voltage to the row sensor data line and the column sensor data line and generates a sensing data signal according to the first sensing signal and the second sensing signal, and a touch determiner processes a sensing data signal to generate touch information.

Display device and driving method thereof

In a touch panel and a display apparatus having the touch panel, the touch panel includes a plurality of sensor lines, a plurality of sensor switches, a line selecting unit and a sensor resistor section. The sensor switches are electrically connected to the sensor lines, respectively, and apply sensing signals to the sensor lines, respectively, when a touch event occurs. The line selecting unit is electrically connected to end portions of the sensor lines and sequentially outputs the sensing signals transferred through the sensor lines. The sensor resistor section includes a first end electrically connected to the sensor lines, respectively, and a second end opposite to the first end. The second end receives a driving direct current (DC) voltage. Therefore, the touch panel may have an improved ability to detect touch events.

The liquid crystal lens includes a first and a second electrode which face each other, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode and has flat top and bottom surfaces, and a dielectric layer interposed between the second electrode and the liquid crystal layer, where the dielectric layer includes a first and a second dielectric sub-layer, the first dielectric sub-layer made of a material having a different dielectric constant from that of the second dielectric sub-layer, the first dielectric sub-layer includes one or more unit patterns, a surface of each of the unit patterns includes a plurality of flat sections, and a height of each of the unit patterns in a first flat section is different from the height thereof in a second flat section.
