Approaches provide for controlling, managing, and/or otherwise interacting with mixed (e.g., virtual and/or augmented) reality content in response to input from a user, including voice input, device input, among other such inputs, in a mixed reality environment. For example, a mixed reality device, such as a headset or other such device can perform various operations in response to a voice command or other such input. In one such example, the device can receive a voice command and an application executing on the device or otherwise in communication with the device can analyze audio input data of the voice command to control the view of content in the environment, as may include controlling a user's 'position' in the environment. The position can include, for example, a specific location in time, space, etc., as well as directionality and field of view of the user in the environment. A reference element can be displayed as an overlay to the mixed reality content, and can provide a visual reference to the user's position in the environment.

Multi-dimensional reference element for mixed reality environments

A mobile device is able to capture a plurality of different biometric identifiers of a subject. The mobile device displays a user interface on a screen of the device to guide the user in the capture of valid biometric identifiers. The user interface includes several different displays configured to guide users through the capture process to improve the chance that the user will capture valid biometric identifiers. The user interface includes displays for iris image capture, face image capture, voice capture, and fingerprint capture. The displays streamline the capture process, decreasing the overall knowledge and time required of the user to capture valid biometric identifiers. This also decreases the risk to the user in hostile environments. The device also processes the captured biometric identifiers to determine if they are valid, and updates the display of the user interface accordingly.

A user interface for navigating and viewing content is described. In one example, the apparatus includes display logic for displaying at least two content properties, wherein each of the content properties is associated with additional content (e.g., an application, service, media object, or combinations thereof). Further, the apparatus includes selection logic for displaying the content associated with the content properties in response to selections thereof, and the content associated with each content property is displayed in a common (or reusable) display space of the interface. As different content properties are selected, the content displayed within the display space is replaced (e.g., through animation) according to the associated content of the newly selected content properties.
