A finishing tool control system for an agricultural implement may include a controller communicatively coupled to a first and a second sensor. The controller is configured to control a height of a finishing tool above a soil surface. Further, the first sensor is configured to output a signal indicative of a height of a main frame of the agricultural implement above the soil surface. In response to determining that a height increase of the main frame exceeds a threshold height adjustment, the controller increases the height of the finishing tool. The second sensor is configured to output a signal indicative of the height of the finishing tool of the finishing assembly above the soil surface. Moreover, in response to determining that a height of the finishing assembly above the soil surface is less than a threshold value, the controller increases the height of the finishing tool.

A grade propulsion system provided herein includes: a propel pump; a brake system; an operator control configured to receive and transmit a propel command and a Hill Mode activation; and a controller electronically coupled to the propel pump, the brake system, and the operator control, the controller configured, after activation of the Hill Mode and the propel command, to transmit a propel current to the propel pump and disengage the brake system when the propel current is equal to or greater than a cracking current plus an offset current.

A paving machine including an adjustable screed assembly is provided. Actuators adjust the screed assembly into the plurality of different configurations. Sensors sense a respective configuration parameter indicative of the configuration of the screed assembly. A controller is configured to save a first set of parameters including the configuration parameters and save a second set of parameters including the configuration parameters in response. The controller is configured to recall one of the first set or second set of parameters, and adjust automatically the configuration of the screed assembly to correspond to the configuration parameters included in the recalled first set or second set of parameters.

A control system for an extendable screed includes a first input device configured to set a speed limit for the extendable screed, a second input device configured to vary a speed of the extendable screed within the speed limit. The controller further includes, a third input device configured to govern a relationship between a speed of the extendable screed and a relative position of the second input device. The control system further includes a controller configured to receive inputs from the first, the second, and the third input devices and output a command signal to move the extendable screed relative to the main screed.
