A hydrogen producing apparatus includes a reforming unit, a feed unit, and a heating unit. The reforming unit includes a casing defining a receiving space and having gas intake and outlet ports, a plurality of reformers disposed in the receiving space, at least one gas pipe winding around one of the reformers, and a connecting pipe in fluidic communication with the gas pipe. The feed unit is in fluidic communication with the reformers and the connecting pipe such that air delivered from the gas intake port through the gas pipe and the connecting pipe is mixed with a fuel in the feed unit to form a reactant mixture to be fed to the reformers for hydrogen production. The heating unit includes a heater connected to the casing.

A method for detecting an abnormality of a fluid filter includes: detecting a flow rate of a fluid in the fluid filter; detecting a pressure difference in the fluid filter; constructing an operating model of the fluid filter in accordance with a geometry of the fluid filter, a physical characteristic of the fluid, a porosity of the fluid filter, an impurity density, the flow rate and the pressure difference; obtaining an initial impurity accumulative quantity through the operating model; estimating a time dependent impurity accumulative status through a Kalman filter in accordance with the initial impurity accumulative quantity and the pressure difference; obtaining an impurity accumulative quantity in an estimated time in accordance with the time dependent impurity accumulative status, and then comparing the impurity accumulative quantity with a pre-determined value to determine if the fluid filter operates normally.

Method for detecting abnormality of fluid filter and fluid filter abnormality detecting system

A method for estimating efficiency of a particulate filter of a vehicle is provided. The method includes: calculating a first estimated value representing an amount of particulate matters (PM) accumulated in the particulate filter; upon determining to perform regeneration of the particulate filter based on the first estimated value, injecting fuel into the particulate filter and combusting the PM; calculating a second estimated value representing an amount of particulate matters accumulated in the particulate filter after the regeneration; and determining whether a PM accumulation condition of the particulate filter requires user attention based on the second estimated value.

Method for estimating efficiency of a particulate filter

A hydrogen producing device is mounted at an exhaust gas port of a vehicle to receive exhaust gas and waste heat as a heat source necessary for a reforming reaction with a catalyst member in a reaction chamber. The hydrogen producing device includes a heating chamber in which the reaction chamber is received, a fuel introducing tube disposed to introduce fuel to the reaction chamber, an air introducing tube disposed in the heating chamber to exchange heat with a reaction air thereinto and introducing the reaction air into the reaction chamber for the reforming reaction, and a product discharging tube disposed to discharge a hydrogen-rich synthesis gas generated in the reaction chamber.

The present invention discloses a vehicle emission monitoring device and a method thereof. The method of the present invention comprises steps: obtaining an OBS instantaneous fuel consumption and a carbon dioxide emission from an on-board emission measurement system (OBS); working out an OBS fuel consumption-carbon dioxide emission relationship with a statistical method or a regression method; obtaining an OBD instantaneous fuel consumption from an on-board diagnostic (OBD) system; establishing an OBS-OBD fuel consumption relationship; and converting the OBD instantaneous fuel consumption into an carbon dioxide emission according to the OBS-OBD fuel consumption relationship and the OBS fuel consumption-carbon dioxide emission relationship.
