A fluorescent lamp lighting apparatus according to the present invention comprises an initial illuminance correction control circuit which sets a fluorescent lamp to an initial illuminance correction control lighting mode, a switching portion which changes the fluorescent lamp from the initial illuminance correction control lighting mode to an external control dimming mode when a predetermined external dimming signal is detected, and a control portion which gradually dimming so as to achieve a dimming level of a switched mode when switching the initial illuminance correction control lighting mode and the external control dimming mode, and control so as to achieve a dimming level corresponding to a cumulative lighting time of the fluorescent lamp when the changed mode is the initial illuminance correction control lighting mode.

Fluorescent lamp lighting apparatus and lighting control system

The present invention provides self destruct arrangements for self ballasted fluorescent lamps and lighting fixtures using them. The ballast power supply includes at least one element that breaks down at high temperature. The lamp arrangements are constructed such that there is close proximity between at least one electrode of the lamp and the breakdown element of the ballast power supply. In one embodiment the breakdown element is a FET switch. In another embodiment, the breakdown element is a capacitor.

Self-ballasted fluorescent lamp and lighting fixture

A discharge lamp lighting apparatus of the present invention includes an inverter to convert input DC voltage into high frequency voltage and supply the converted high frequency voltage to a discharge lamp having filaments, a preheating circuit to preheat the filaments of the discharge lamp, filament voltage detecting circuits to detect voltage applied between both ends of the filaments of the discharge lamp, and an output control circuit to control the inverter to stop or lower the output of high frequency voltage when the detected result of the filament voltage detecting circuit exceeds a specified value.

Discharge lamp lighting apparatus and lighting apparatus

A power supply apparatus has a rectifier for outputting a non-smoothed DC. A switching circuit alternately shut off output of the rectifier at a high frequency, which includes first and second switches. A first capacitor couples to the first and second switches for smoothing output of the rectifier. A series resonance circuit includes a second capacitor and an inductor so that the voltage across the first capacitor becomes lower by the resonance voltage than that of the output of the rectifier. The switches are coupled to a feedback circuit including a saturatable current transformer having a primary winding and secondary winding. A control means varies the saturation time of the saturatable current transformer.
