An X-ray inspection apparatus includes a conveyance unit configured to convey articles, an X-ray irradiation unit configured to irradiate the articles conveyed by the conveyance unit with X-rays, an X-ray detection unit configured to detect X-rays transmitted through the articles, an image generation unit configured to generate an X-ray transmission image based on a detection result by the X-ray detection unit, and a calculation unit configured to calculate, based on the X-ray transmission image, the total amount of the articles conveyed per predetermined time by the conveyance unit.

X-ray inspection apparatus and article handling system

An article sorting determination device including a conveying unit configured to convey an article, an acquisition unit configured to acquire first information and second information, the first information relating to a size of the article being conveyed by the conveying unit and the second information relating to a width of a passage port through which the article passes through downstream of the conveying unit; and a control unit configured to output a sorting signal for sorting the article from the conveying unit when determining that the article would get stuck in the passage port on the basis of the first information and the second information.

Article sorting determination device

An X-ray inspection apparatus suppresses anomalies in inspection results caused by the X-ray inspection apparatus being used while an unsuitable setting is in effect. The X-ray inspection apparatus is provided with an inspection unit, a setting unit, a storage unit, an assessment unit, and a notification unit. The inspection unit inspects an irradiated article using detection data obtained by detecting X-rays. The setting unit sets a setting value used in inspection of the article by the inspection unit. The storage unit stores a detection value based on the detection data. The assessment unit assesses, on the basis of the detection value stored in the storage unit, whether or not the setting value set by the setting unit is suitable. When the assessment unit has assessed that the setting value is not suitable, the notification unit issues a notification to indicate that the setting value is not suitable.

X-ray inspection device

An X-ray inspection apparatusincludes a calculation unit that calculates a luminance conversion function of matching or approximating a first output value of a first elementbased on a first transmission image Gto a second output value of a second elementbased on a second transmission image Gof the second element disposed to face the first element, for each of a plurality of the first elementsand a plurality of the second elements; and a correction unit that corrects at least one of the first output value of each of the first elementsand the second output value of each of the second elementsbased on the luminance conversion function calculated by the calculation unit.

Inspection apparatus

An X-ray inspection apparatus includes an X-ray irradiation unit that irradiates an article with X-rays, an X-ray detection unit that detects the X-rays transmitted through the article, an inspection unit that generates an X-ray transmission image of the article based on a signal output from the X-ray detection unit and performs inspection of the article based on the X-ray transmission image, and a control unit that controls the X-ray irradiation unit and the X-ray detection unit. The control unit executes a first control of controlling the X-ray irradiation unit such that an irradiation output is increased if a detection output of the X-ray detection unit is decreased when the control unit controls the X-ray irradiation unit such that the irradiation output of the X-ray irradiation unit becomes a first irradiation output. The control unit executes the first control in a state where the article is not irradiated with the X-rays.

An inspection and sorting system sorts conveyed articles. The system is provided with a conveyance device, an X-ray inspection device, and a sorting device. The conveyance device conveys inspection articles. The X-ray inspection device inspects the conveyed inspection articles. The sorting device has an air sorting mechanism that sorts the conveyed inspection articles in a sorting operation. The sorting device has a sorting information receiving component, a reference signal receiving component, and a sorting mechanism control component. The sorting information receiving component receives sorting information relating to the sorting of the inspection articles based on an inspection result of the X-ray inspection device. The reference signal receiving component receives a fixed-interval reference signal relating to the conveyance by the conveyance device. The sorting mechanism control component controls the air sorting mechanism to execute the sorting operation based on the sorting information at a timing adjusted by the reference signal.

Inspection and sorting system

An inspection device is provided that is capable of counting the number of contained objects of a product in which objects each having a predetermined shape are contained in a package in an overlapping manner. An inspection deviceincludes a total-number calculatorthat estimates a total mass of a plurality of objects based on grayscale information on a transmission image and calculates the total number of objects by dividing the total mass estimated by a mass of one object.

Inspection device

Provided is a highly reliable X-ray inspection device having two line sensors, in which accurate inspection results can be obtained even when there is displacement of the mounting position of the line sensors. The X-ray inspection device is provided with a conveyor unit for conveying an article, an X-ray emitter, a first line sensor, a second line sensor, a detection unit, and a corrected-image generation unit. The X-ray emitter emits X-rays to the article conveyed by the conveyor unit. The first line sensor detects, in a low energy band, X-rays that have passed through the article. The second line sensor detects, in a high energy band, X-rays that have passed through the article. The detection unit detects positional displacement of the second line sensor with respect to the first line sensor in horizontal direction and vertical direction.
