A connection portion () of an FFC () to be preliminarily arranged on a roof trim () is weld-fixed to cable connecting portions () of a bus bar () and a spring terminal () of a room lamp (). Simultaneously with the arrangement of the FFC () on a vehicle-body-panel-side portion of the roof trim, the room lamp () is mounted in the lamp mounting window.

Lamp unit assembling method and lamp unit mounting structure

An adapter has a cylindrical body which is screwed onto a battery post, and a flange portion formed on a top portion of the cylindrical body to be clamped by a screwing tool. A terminal body includes a substantially U-shaped adaptor fitting portion which accommodates the adapter therein, and a seat portion on which an electric wire terminal is fixed. A lever includes a cam portion and is supported on the terminal body so as to be pivotable between a first position and a second position. A space in which the flange portion is capable of passing through is secured inside of the adaptor fitting portion when the lever is in the first position. The cam portion is abutted against an outer periphery of the cylindrical body of the adaptor so that the adaptor is retained between the cam portion and an inner face of the adaptor fitting portion, when the lever is in the second position. The flange portion of the adaptor is engaged with a top end face of the adapter fitting portion of the terminal body.

Battery terminal and battery post adaptor

There is provided a male contact having improved electrical contact reliability with a female contact. The male contact has a mating section capable of being formed compactly using a plate member having a plate thickness satisfying a desired strength requirement. The male contact has a mating section formed in such a manner that two plate members and , which individually extend from a base , are superimposed on one another by folding on the base . The mating section has flat sections extending in a mating direction P, wherein outer surfaces of the two plate members - and - are formed flat. A tip of one of the two plate members is folded to overlap a tip of the other plate member . This feature makes it hard to open the plate members and when the male contact is mated with the female contact.

Male contact

A connector housing ( ) of the connector device ( ) is composed of an outer housing ( ) to be mounted onto a printed circuit board ( ) by screwing, and an inner housing ( ) connected to the outer housing ( ) so as to be movable in the right and left direction with respect to the outer housing ( ). Into the inner housing ( ), there is incorporated a terminal ( ) including a connecting portion ( ) to be connected by a terminal ( ) of a mating connector device ( ), a spring portion ( ), and a switch contact ( ) respectively formed integral with the terminal ( ). On the printed circuit board ( ), there is disposed an electrode ( ) with which the switch contact ( ) can be elastically contacted. Thanks to this structure, by switchingly moving the inner housing ( ) in the right and left direction, circuit switching can be achieved.

Switchable connector device

An overcurrent interrupting device includes a power MOSFET ( ) for controlling an electric current flowing from a power supply to a load; a current detection circuit ( ) for detecting a current value of an electric current flowing from the power MOSFET ( ) to a load (L); a determination value selection circuit ( ) for selecting a determination value used for determining an overcurrent; an overcurrent determination circuit ( ) for determining whether or not the current value represents occurrence of an overcurrent, on the basis of the current value detected by the current detection circuit ( ) and the determination value selected by the determination value selection circuit ( ); and a boosting and switching circuit ( ) for controlling activation/deactivation of the power MOSFET ( ) on the basis of a result of determination rendered by the overcurrent determination circuit ( ).

Overcurrent interrupting device

A connection portion ( ) of an FFC ( ) to be preliminarily arranged on a roof trim ( ) is weld-fixed to cable connecting portions ( ) of a bus bar ( ) and a spring terminal ( ) of a room lamp ( ). Simultaneously with the arrangement of the FFC ( ) on a vehicle-body-panel-side portion of the roof trim, the room lamp ( ) is mounted in the lamp mounting window.

A lever ( ) is pivotally movably supported on a female connector ( ). In accordance with the movement of a slide member ( ) relative to the female connector ( ), the lever ( ) is pivotally moved while held in engagement with a tongue portion ( ) of an engagement portion ( ) formed on a male connector ( ), and with this construction the inserting force is reduced. When the slide member ( ) is completely drawn out relative to the female connector ( ), an engagement projection ( ) of the lever ( ) is engaged with an engagement claw ( ) of an elastic arm portion ( ), and the lever ( ) is held in this position. When a projection ( ) of the engagement portion ( ) elastically deforms the elastic arm portion ( ), the retained condition of the lever ( ) is canceled, so that the lever ( ) is allowed to be pivotally moved.

Connector connecting device

A terminal cap ( ) is provided to prevent erroneous use of a booster cable to connect batteries that have different specifications. The terminal cap ( ) is mounted to cover a battery terminal (T) to be connected with one of electrodes of a 32V-battery. The terminal cap ( ) has protection walls ( ) that extend from a first accommodating portion ( ) for accommodating a connecting portion ( ) of the battery terminal (T). The protection walls ( ) are formed to be higher than a threaded shaft ( ) of the electrode. Thus, even if an attempt is made to erroneously connect a booster cable, the protection walls ( ) will interfere with the booster cable and prevent connection with the electrode located inside the protection walls ( ).

Construction and a terminal cap for preventing an erroneous connection

A projection ( ) is provided in a male connector ( ). A lever ( ) is rotatably provided in a female connector ( ). The lever ( ) has a curved groove ( ). When the lever ( ) is turned, the projection ( ) is inserted into the groove ( ). As the projection ( ) is inserted into this groove ( ), the connection between the male connector ( ) and the female connector ( ) is strengthened. At that time, the lever ( ) provides leverage. Moreover, the distance between the fulcrum for this lever and a point of action gradually decreases. Furthermore, in this case, the groove ( ) is formed in such a way as to extend to the turning center portion of the lever ( ), so that the distance between the fulcrum for the lever and the point of action is reduced still more. Consequently, a larger connecting force can be provided thereto.

Connector apparatus

A connector body to be fixed to a motor case is formed of an aluminum die cast, and is provided, on one of side surfaces thereof, with a cylindrical housing portion for inserting a terminal of a motor cable to be a shielding electric wire. A double enveloping contact is fitted in the housing portion and an eye-ball shaped fixing portion protruded from a front edge thereof is fixed, with a bolt , to a fixing base provided integrally on the direct inside of the housing portion . A terminal fixture of the terminal of the motor cable is inserted from the housing portion into the connector body , and is connected to the other bus bar , and a shield shell fitted and attached into a terminal of a shield layer elastically comes in contact with the inner periphery of the contact . A reliable electrical connection is obtained between the contact and the housing portion so that a shield function can be displayed effectively.

Shield connector and terminal connecting device for shielding electric wire

A connector housing ( ) of a connector ( ) is constituted by a lower housing ( ), which is mounted on a printed circuit board ( ), and an upper housing ( ) connected to the lower housing ( ) in such a manner as to be able to perform shifting movement with respect the housing ( ). Further, terminals ( ) are provided in such a way as to penetrate through a partitioning wall portion ( ) of the upper housing ( ) and through a connecting block portion ( ) of the lower housing ( ). At that time, tapered holes ( ) are provided in the connecting block portion ( ). The terminals ( ) are maintained in a state in which a bending deformation thereof caused by the shifting movement of the upper housing ( ) is allowed. Consequently, when the connector ( ) is connected to the mating connector ( ), the connectors ( ) can be connected to each other by performing the shifting movement of the upper housing ( ) thereby to concurrently absorb the positional displacement therebetween. Moreover, occurrences of problems, such as breakage and bend of the terminals ( ) at that time, are prevented.

Printed circuit board connector

Electric contact portions that contact terminals are formed for a first holder, and pressing portions are formed for a second holder to press terminals against the electric contact portions. In addition, provided for the pressing portions are a pair of first position regulators, which contact, at two places in the widthwise direction of the terminals, the outer walls of the terminals, and a pair of second position regulators, which, in the longitudinal direction of the terminals, contact the ends of the terminals.

Electromagnetic wave shielding structure

Cavities capable of housing terminal fittings connected with the ends of electric wires W are provided inside of a housing. A rear assembly is assembled at the rear of the housing. The rear assembly includes a cover formed of a quality of material having no elasticity and a waterproof member formed of a quality of material having elasticity. The waterproof member further includes a wire seal part that surrounds and waterproofs electric wires, and a housing seal part that seals between the two housings. A clearance is provided about a periphery between the outer peripheral face of the wire seal part and the housing seal part. Even if the material of the wire seal part is deformed during the insertion operation of the electric wires, the insertion operation of the electric wires can be smoothly carried out to the last wire because the clearance absorbs the deformation of the entire wire seal part.

Waterproof connector

A plurality of steps respectively constituted by inner housings ( ) are incorporated into an outer housing ( ) of a female connector ( ). Moreover, a pushing operation force transmitting member ( ) is incorporated there into. The engaging relation of this pushing operation force transmitting member ( ) to each of the inner housings is changed every time this member is externally operated. Thus, a pushing operation force applied to the outer housing ( ) is transmitted to the inner housings ( ) sequentially. Consequently, the outer housing ( ) and the pushing operation force transmitting member ( ) are alternately pushed. Thus, the plurality of steps respectively constituted by the inner housings ( ) are sequentially connected to a male connector ( ).

Multipolar connector apparatus with force transmitting member

A connector has a housing ( ) with cavities ( ) for accommodating both crimping and insulation-displacement terminal fittings ( ). Locks ( ) extend into the cavities ( ) to elastically engage the terminal fittings ( ). A retainer mount opening ( ) extends through an outer wall of the housing ( ) and communicates with the cavities ( ), and a retainer ( ) is mounted in the opening ( ) for doubly locking the terminal fittings ( ). Connecting portions ( ) of the same shape are provided at the front of the terminal fittings ( ). The height of insulation-displacement portions ( ) is shorter than that of the connecting portion ( ) in the insulation-displacement terminal fitting ( ), and terminal locks ( ) of the retainer ( ) engage with steps ( A) at the rear of the connecting portions ( ). The retainer ( ) can be pushed to a full locking position after the terminal fittings ( ) are mounted with the housing ( ) to redundantly lock the terminal fittings ( ) in the cavities ( ).
