A fluid container, such as, for example, an inkjet print head cartridge, architecture uses a relatively large filter that is located below a negative pressure material chamber and a free ink chamber in a side-by-side relationship. The negative pressure material volume relative to a free ink chamber value can me made to be approximately one to one. Both chambers overlie an ink manifold/delivery port and are separated from the delivery port by a filter. Flow impedance of the cartridge is reduced, as a result, in any orientation of the cartridge. The filter may be separated from, or in contact with a negative pressure material. A cartridge lid is provided with a negative pressure material chamber which is suspended into the cartridge. A negative pressure material having a fiber felt construction is provided.

Systems, methods and structure to capture, store and evaporate split fluid

A port for replenishing ink on the side of a main ink tank advances and the nose or tip end of a main body of a pipe enters an ink replenishing opening on the side of a sub ink tank. When a valve body in the main body of the pipe and a valve on side of the sub ink tank are pressed with each other, a communicating port is opened by the valve body. When the main body of the pipe is further inserted into the ink replenishing opening, the valve is separated from a projection portion of a gasket, and a space therebetween starts to be widened. At this stage, as a lip portion of the gasket is not in contact with an outer peripheral portion of the main body of the pipe, an ink channel is opened to the atmosphere, the ink which is remained in or adhered to the outer peripheral portion of the main body of the pipe or an inside of the ink replenishing opening is absorbed into the sub ink tank dye ti a negative pressure in the sub ink tank. Namely, the present invention provides an ink replenishing device which can reliably prevent ink dirt from being caused by ink replenishing and an ink jet recording apparatus which is provided with the ink replenishing device.

Ink replenishing device, sub ink tank, and ink jet recording apparatus

An ink jet printer is disclosed which, only when ink is to be supplied, supplies ink from a main tank disposed outside a carriage and which can effect the supply of ink stably without the leakage of ink. When it is detected by an ink level sensor that the ink level in a second ink chamber of an ink tank has become lower than a predetermined position, pipes in ports are inserted respectively into slit valves provided in the second ink chamber. Then, by operating a pump, the air present in the second ink chamber is discharged by suction to increase a negative pressure in the second ink chamber, allowing ink to be supplied from a main tank into the second ink chamber. Thus, since the supply of ink is performed by a negative pressure, it is possible to prevent the leakage of ink from the portion where the pipe is inserted into the slit valve.

Ink jet printer

The present invention provides an ink jet recording apparatus which can prevent problems such as image defects caused by shortage of ink, and decreases in the printing speed from occurring. When execution of a print job is instructed, a printing processing for the print job is started. The number of pixels which have been actually printed is added to a current pixel count C , and it is determined whether or not the print job is finished. When it is determined that the print job is finished and the pixel count C exceeds a predetermined number of pixels X , an ink supply unit is controlled so that ink of a predetermined proportion A (%) of the amount of ink used, which amount corresponds to the pixel count C , is supplied to a sub-ink tank.

Ink jet recording apparatus

Heating elements are driven to continuously perform a dummy jet when the number of accumulated printed sheets reaches a predetermined number that causes the image quality deficiency. The surface temperature of a recording head is increased to T1&deg; C. to boil ink in the individual channel. A bubble attached to the common liquid chamber side edge of the individual channel is spaced from the wall surface to be expanded to be integrated with other bubbles, and then, is discharged from the common liquid chamber to an ink supply chamber by its floating force. The bubble can be removed reliably.

Ink jet recording device and bubble removing method

The present invention provides an inkjet recording head cartridge and an inkjet recording apparatus that have a simple structure and high reliability. Since individual flow passages in which ink emission orifices are formed are communicated directly with a rectangular ink supply chamber, it is prevented that a bubble of such a size as to cause printing defects rises through an ink supply chamber and blocks the individual flow passages. Also, since ink heated within the ink supply chamber is moved upward to the ink tank chamber by convection and grows an air lump sealed beforehand, it is prevented that a bubble will grow in the ink supply chamber. Furthermore, by allocating a large cross-sectional area to the ink supply chamber, it is prevented that meniscus oscillation of the ink emission orifices is amplified by pressure oscillation caused by ink emission and causes a printing defect. Therefore, reliable printing can be performed with a simple construction.

Inkjet recording head cartridge and inkjet recording apparatus

The present invention provides an ink jet recording head that enables stable high-speed continuous printing, its manufacturing method and an ink jet recording device. A bubble generated in a common liquid chamber is moved to the side of an ink tank via a communicating port formed in a sufficient size and a supply passage. That is, a bubble generated inside a common liquid chamber is exhausted satisfactorily from the common liquid chamber by forming the communicating port in a shape which the bubble can pass, resulting in the supply of ink to the common liquid chamber and an individual passage (nozzle) prevented from being blocked by the bubble. As a result, even if high-speed continuous jetting (printing) is performed, stable printing is enabled.

Ink jet recording head, ink jet recording device and head manufacturing method

Disclosed herein is an ink jet recording apparatus which supplies a suitable amount of ink to a main ink tank for supplying ink to a recording head. The main ink tank placed over a movable carriage includes a first ink chamber which holds ink therein in a free state together with air. The main ink tank communicates with a sub-ink tank attached to its upper portion through a pipe. Ink in a sub-ink chamber of the sub-ink tank forms an interface with air by a surface tension at the pipe. When the sub-ink tank is scanned by the movable carriage in this condition, acceleration acts on the ink in the first ink chamber and the sub-ink chamber. As a result, the air in the sub-ink chamber 81 and the ink in the first ink chamber are interchanged with each other at the interface according to a change in pressure of the first ink chamber, whereby the ink is supplied from the sub-ink chamber to the first ink chamber.

The present invention provides a liquid jet printing head, a method of manufacturing the same, and a liquid jet printing apparatus, which allow stable, high speed, and continuous printing. A liquid jet printing head provides an inflow of liquid from an inlet to a common chamber, then along with the surface of heating elements of a heating element substrate and with a wall of a housing to separate channels. Liquid drops will be ejected by heating the heating elements. Since liquid may flow linearly from the inlet to the separate channels in accordance with the present invention, smooth flow promotes evacuation of bubbles through a nozzle, while cooling the heating element substrate with liquid flowing along with the substrate. The present invention provides thereby stable printing with high speed, continuous ejection (printing) of liquid drops.

Liquid jet printing head and method for manufacturing the same

An ink-jet recording apparatus includes a recording head mounted on a carriage for ejecting ink onto a recording medium, the carriage being moved in a main scanning direction with respect to the recording medium to be transported in a sub-scanning direction, sub tanks mounted on the carriage for supplying the ink to the recording head, a main tank installed outside of the carriage for supplying the ink to the sub tanks via a tube, flat and thin ink bags corresponding to one ink color contained in the main tank, a connecting member for connecting the ink bags to the tube, and a common channel for allowing the ink bags to communicate with each other.

Ink-jet recording apparatus and ink storing device

A recording apparatus having a print head for printing characters on a medium and an ink tank for holding ink to be supplied to the print head. The ink tank includes an ink chamber having an ink holding member and an ink supplying port. A first meniscus forming member is located in the ink supplying port so as to be in communication with the ink holding member. The print head includes an ink introducing port for receiving ink from the ink tank and a second meniscus forming member located in the ink introducing port. When the ink tank is attached to the print head, the ink introducing port is coupled with the ink supplying port. An ink passing member is located in the portion where the ink introducing port is coupled with the ink supplying port. The ends of the ink passing member are in contact with the first meniscus forming member and the second meniscus forming member. The ink passing member is subject to only minor changes in volume upon contact with ink.
