A particulate detector that is used to detect a particulate in gas, the particulate detector includes an electric-charge generator that applies an electric charge generated by electric discharge to the particulate in the gas that is introduced into a gas flow path to obtain a charged particulate and a first collector that collects an excess electric charge that is not applied to the particulate and a second collector that collects the charged particulate and a detection unit that corrects a second physical quantity that varies in response to the charged particulate collected by the second collector on the basis of a first physical quantity that varies in response to the excess electric charge collected by the first collector and that detects an amount of the particulate on the basis of the corrected second physical quantity.

In a particle counter and a method of counting a number of particles, the particle counter includes a casing made of a ceramic, an electric charge adder configured to add electric charges to particles in a measurement target gas supplied into the casing, a first electric charge collector configured to collect the electric charges added to the particles, and a number measuring unit configured to measure a number of the particles based on a quantity of the collected electric charges.

Method of using all-solid-state battery

A compact inductor comprises a coil, a coil-burying body, and a body for a closed magnetic circuit. The coil-burying body is a fired porous ceramic body having a first magnetic permeability, in which the coil is buried. In the coil-burying body, 'a through-holepassing through inside of the coil along an axis of the coil' is formed. The body for a closed magnetic circuit is a fired dense ceramic body having a second magnetic permeability greater than the first magnetic permeability. The body for a closed magnetic circuit is arranged closely/densely at an outer circumference portion of the coil-burying body and in the through-hole. A magnetic path is therefore formed mainly within the body for a closed magnetic circuit, and the magnetic flux density is reduced in an area close to the coil. Accordingly, an inductor having the excellent superimposed DC current characteristic is provided.

Compact inductor and a method for manufacturing the same

In a ladder-type piezoelectric filter, the attenuation in the stop bands on a low frequency side and a high frequency side are increased while the pass band is widened. The ladder-type piezoelectric filter is made up by alternately connecting parallel arms and series arms. The parallel arms are respectively made up by serially connecting parallel resonators and LC element networks, and the series arms are respectively made up of series resonators. The LC element networks are respectively made up so as to be inductive in resonant frequencies of the serially connected parallel resonators. Further, the LC element networks include capacitors which contribute to formation of a new series resonant point in the stop band on the high frequency side.

Ladder type piezoelectric filter

A space is defined in a portion of an overlapping region where an open end portion of a resonant electrode and an inner-layer ground electrode, of a dielectric layer which is interposed between the resonant electrode and the inner-layer ground electrode. A space is defined in a portion of an overlapping region where the open end portion of the resonant electrode and another inner-layer ground electrode, of a dielectric layer which is interposed between the resonant electrode and the other inner-layer ground electrode. These spaces are filled with respective members having a dielectric constant higher than the dielectric layers.

Laminated dielectric resonator and laminated dielectric filter

A stacked type dielectric resonator includes a plurality of stripline conductors disposed in a dielectric substrate composed of a plurality of stacked dielectric layers. Ground electrode portions are continuously formed on portions of the dielectric substrate. Via holes are provided to electrically connect the respective stripline conductors to portions of the round electrode disposed on an upper or lower surface, and another portion of the ground electrode is connected to at least one side surface.

Stacked type dielectric resonator

A multilayered circuit board is constructed such that holes penetrating through second and third dielectric layers, interposed between a pair of electrodes for constructing a capacitor, are filled with a material having a high dielectric constant respectively in a capacitor-forming area, and a plurality of (for example, four) holes are filled with a material having a high magnetic permeability respectively so as to penetrate through first to fifth dielectric layers in a magnetic flux-passing area of a coil constructed by coil electrodes of first to fifth turns in a coil-forming area.

Transmitter-receiver

A stacked dielectric filter includes two sets of resonators arranged in a dielectric substrate constructed by laminating a plurality of dielectric layers, in which each of the resonators includes at least two resonance electrodes superimposed in a stacking direction. One of the resonance electrodes of the two resonance electrodes for constructing each of the resonators is formed to have a wide width as compared with the other resonance electrode. Accordingly, even when stacking deviations occur in the plurality of resonance electrodes during the production process, it is possible to decrease the variation of characteristics. Thus, it is possible to maximally exhibit the effect (high Q value, small size, and high performance) to be obtained by constructing the resonator by superimposing the plurality of resonance electrodes in the stacking direction.

Stacked type dielectric filter

An antenna device is constructed such that a short circuit exists between an antenna formed on an outer surface of a dielectric substrate and an input end side resonance electrode of a filter section formed on the inside of the dielectric substrate. An output end side resonance electrode of the filter section and an output electrode are coupled to one another via a capacitance. Accordingly, noise current is not allowed to flow to an electronic circuit, which is connected to the antenna device.

Antenna device

An antenna device comprises an antenna section and a filter section which are formed in an integrated manner in a dielectric substrate, wherein the antenna section and the filter section are coupled to one another via a capacitance. Further, 0.3&times;Lr&lE;Lt&lE;1.2&times;Lr is satisfied provided that an antenna length of the antenna section is Lt, and an antenna length measured for a single antenna is Lr. Accordingly, it is possible to realize a small size of the antenna device while avoiding the decrease in gain and the disadvantage of narrow band.

An antenna device is provided with a dielectric substrate comprising a large number of stacked dielectric layers and having at least an input/output terminal and a ground electrode formed on its outer circumferential surface. A plurality of &frac12; wavelength resonator elements of the both ends-open type are arranged in parallel to one another in the dielectric substrate respectively to construct a filter section. An antenna section is formed and constructed on the surface of the dielectric substrate. Two input/output electrodes are formed in the dielectric substrate, which are arranged at positions of point symmetry with respect to a center in the length direction of at least the resonator element disposed on the output side, of the plurality of &frac12; wavelength resonator elements. The two input/output electrodes are connected to balanced input/output terminals of the antenna section respectively.

A laminated type dielectric filter including a first stage symmetric type strip line resonator and a last stage symmetric type strip line resonator each having at least two resonating elements arranged to oppose one another via dielectric layers, said resonators being aligned in a direction perpendicular to a stacking direction in which said resonating elements are stacked, an input electrode for coupling the first stage symmetric type strip line resonator to an input terminal, an output electrode for coupling the last stage symmetric type dielectric filter to an output terminal, an earth electrode substantially surrounding an outer surface of the laminated type dielectric filter, plural interlayer earth electrodes connected to the earth electrode, and one or more coupling electrode for coupling said plural symmetric type strip line resonators, said the resonating elements, input electrode, output electrode, interlayer earth electrodes and coupling electrodes are isolated by means of dielectric layers, and electrodes of at least one kind of electrode among the above mentioned electrodes are arranged between adjacent resonating elements such that capacitances between the resonating elements and these electrodes are increased to improve filter characteristics.
