An inkjet-recording medium comprising a support and an ink-receiving layer formed thereon containing inorganic fine particles, a water-soluble aluminum compound, a zirconium compound, a cationic modified self-emulsifying polymer, a polyvinyl alcohol having a saponification value of 92 to 98 mol %, and a crosslinking agent, and a method of producing the same.

Inkjet-recording medium and method of producing the same

The present invention provides a method for preparing an ink-jet recording sheet including a support and a colorant receiving layer disposed on the surface of the support, and an ink-jet recording sheet prepared by the method. The method including: coating a coating solution including inorganic fine particles, a water-soluble resin and a boron compound on the surface of the support to form a coated layer; and cross-linking and hardening the coated layer to form a colorant receiving layer. The cross-linking and hardening is performed by applying a solution containing a metal compound and having a pH of 8 or higher to the coated layer or a coated film at one of: (1) simultaneous as coating the coating solution; (2) during drying of the coated layer and before the coated layer shows a falling rate of drying; or (3) after the coated layer is dried to form the coated film.

Ink-jet recording sheet and method for preparing the same

Ink-jet recording sheet

An inkjet recording sheet has a colorant-receiving layer on a support. The colorant-receiving layer is provided with at least one of compounds represented by the following formulas (1) to (4) and which has either or both of an I/O value of at least 0.5 and a water soluble property. The colorant-receiving layer is also provided with at least one organic mordant selected from polyallylamine, polyvinylamine and derivatives of these. Inkjet recording sheet

An inkjet recording sheet comprising a support and, on a surface of the support, a colorant-receiving layer formed by applying a first coating liquid, adding a second coating liquid, after application of the first coating liquid and before the same shows a decreasing rate of drying, and thereafter hardening and drying the coat layer to form a porous structure. The first coating liquid has a pH value of 5 or lower, and is obtained by adding a solution which includes polyvinyl alcohol, a nonionic surfactant and/or amphoteric surfactant and a high boiling point organic solvent, to a dispersion including a cationic resin and vapor-phase-process silica having a specific surface area of at least 200 m /g as measured by the BET method. The second coating liquid has a pH value of 8.5 or higher and includes a cross-linking agent capable of cross-linking the polyvinyl alcohol, an organic mordant and a nonionic surfactant.

Disclosed is a heat-sensitive recording material comprising a support comprised of a substrate and a thermoplastic resin layer formed thereon, and a heat-sensitive recording layer disposed on the support and containing a diazonium salt compound capable of being decomposed by ultraviolet light, wherein the thermoplastic resin layer is formed by melt extrusion and wherein the thermoplastic resin layer contains a fluorescent brightening agent and a white pigment. In the heat-sensitive recording material, the fluorescent brightening agent is preferably a compound represented by the following structural formula (I): Structural Formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 each represent a hydrogen atom, or a substituent group or a substituent atom.

Heat-sensitive recording material

The present invention provides a recording material comprising a substrate and a recording layer thereon characterized in that the oxygen transmission rate of the substrate, as measured in accordance with Method B of JIS K 7126, is not greater than 50 cc/m.sup.2 /day. If necessary, a protective layer is formed on the recording layer. The substrate is composed of a sheet of base paper and a plastic film layer present at least on the side of the paper which faces a recording layer to be formed. The plastic film layer is appropriately selected from the group consisting of a polyester film, a polyvinylidene chloride film, a polycarbonate film, a polyvinylchloride film and a film of a random copolymer of ethylene and vinylalcohol. The recording material according to the present invention is excellent in the long-term preservation of images, fading resistance and light fastness.

Recording material

A light-sensitive heat-sensitive recording material is disclosed, which contains microcapsules resulting from a solution containing at least one component capable of undergoing color development or achromatization as a core material of the microcapsules and a volatile solvent which has a water solubility of 10% by volume or less and has a low boiling point such that it volatilizes during a process for preparing said light-sensitive heat-sensitive recording material leaving substantially no trace of the solvent in the resulting recording material. As the microcapsules, ones having a mean particle size of 2 .mu.m or less are preferred, and ones prepared using a modified gelatin as a protective colloid are also preferred. Further, as the support of the light-sensitive heat-sensitive recording material, a polyester support filled with a white pigment can preferably be used.

Light-sensitive heat-sensitive recording material

A photographic support is disclosed, comprising a metal surface having mirror reflectivity or secondary diffuse reflectivity and an adhesive layer provided on the metal surface, wherein the adhesive layer comprises a copolymer containing vinylidene chloride, vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and maleic anhydride.

A photographic support having a secondary diffuse-reflective surface is disclosed, wherein a thin metal layer is provided on the matted surface of a substrate and the center plane average roughness, as determined by a three dimensional roughness measuring apparatus, of the thin metal layer is 0.1 to 1.2 .mu.m.

A heat-sensitive recording sheet comprising a paper support having provided thereon a heat-sensitive coupling layer, said paper support having an intermediate layer containing at least one white pigment disposed on a base paper comprising a mixture of synthetic pulp and natural pulp. The heat-sensitive recording sheet has increased contact with a thermal head, a high recorded density and good dot reproducibility.

Heat-sensitive recording sheet

A heat-sensitive recording paper comprising a support having provided thereon a heat-sensitive recording layer, wherein an intermediate layer comprising at least one of an organic and inorganic pigment having an oil absorption property (JIS K-5101) of at least 30 ml/100 g and less than 50 ml/100 g is interposed between the support and the heat-sensitive recording paper. The heat-sensitive recording paper does not suffer from reduction in color density even when recording is effected with high energy.

A support of photographic paper one of whose surfaces is provided with a writing-retainable layer capable of retaining penciled characters, marks, ink, etc. The writing-retainable layer comprises crystalline silica having a number-average particle size of 0.1-3.0 .mu.m and a film-forming organic polymer.
