A refrigerant compressed by gradually reducing, from the outside to the inside, a plurality of compression spaces formed by engaging both the laps with each other is discharged to a discharge pressure space in the sealed container.

The scroll compressor further includes a shield plate which extends from the support frame to the motor element side to surround the periphery of the bearing portion, and a guide member provided at an outlet of the communication path to guide the discharged gas in the direction of the shield plate.

In this compressor, the upper end of the suction pipe is protruded into the communication notch of the cylinder to configure an oil residue pool.
