According to one embodiment, a display apparatus includes a plurality of semiconductor layers, a first insulation film, a first conductive layer, a second insulation film and a display element includes a second conductive layer. The first conductive layer and the second conductive layer are opposed to each other to form a capacitance unit.

An optical fingerprint authentication device includes at least a light source and an image sensor and detects diffused light. The light source is an organic electroluminescence panel. The organic electroluminescence panel comprises a light emitting portion region and a light-transmitting non-light emitting portion, the light emitting portion region being shaped by an organic electroluminescence element. A fingerprint information reader having the image sensor arranged at a position adjacent to the non-light emitting portion is provided.

The organic electroluminescence module has a touch function of detecting contact or proximity of an operation body. An illumination device is provided with: a planar first electrode; a planar second electrode arranged to face the first electrode; a light emitting layer which is disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode and emits light in accordance with a current flowing between the first electrode and the second electrode; a first sensor that is electrically connected to the first electrode and detects an electrostatic capacitance of the first electrode; and a second sensor that is electrically connected to the second electrode and detects an electrostatic capacitance of the second electrode.

Provided is an organic electroluminescent module with: an organic electroluminescent device in which an organic luminescent functional layer is provided between a pair of electrodes; a luminescent-device driving circuit unit that is connected to the pair of the electrodes and controls the luminescence of the organic electroluminescent device; and a touch-position detection circuit unit that is connected to both ends of a detection electrode in a touch-position detection direction, which is either of the pair of electrodes, wherein the touch-position detection circuit unit performs the touch-position detection by detecting electrical characteristics at both ends of the detection electrode.

The paired electrodes are connected to the light-emitting device driving circuit unit, and one of the paired electrodes is a touch sensing electrode that is connected to the touch sensing circuit unit.
