A head-up display device includes: a reflection member disposed in front of a driver who drives a vehicle; a projection unit configured to project light toward the reflection member and display a virtual image in a region superimposed on a superimposing display target when viewed by the driver; and an imaging unit configured to take an image of a region in front of the vehicle to generate a front image that is an image of the region in front of the vehicle. The projection unit adjusts a luminance distribution of a virtual image in accordance with a luminance distribution of a region of the superimposing display target in the front image.

Head-up display device and display control method

A vehicle display device acquires a plurality of point positions of a pair of white lines interposing a traffic lane extending forward of a vehicle from a frontward image. Interpolation formulas are created in a direction in which a plurality of point positions are continuous along the white lines, respectively. A base point is determined on any one of the interpolation formulas on the basis of distance information to an intersection forward of the vehicle. A road shape model is created such that a plurality of finite element models defined by the base point and a plurality of vertexes set on the interpolation formulas, respectively, directed from the base point to the vehicle side are arranged between a pair of interpolation formulas.

Vehicle display device for overlapping display image on real landscape

A display device for a vehicle displays an image at the time of seeing a three-dimensional object for distortion correction formed in a virtual space, from a reference eye point of a driver, on a display, as a display image. A controller performs texture mapping by pasting an original display image to the three-dimensional object for distortion correction, in the virtual space, and adjusts the three-dimensional object for distortion correction, according to a positional change between the reference eye point and an actual eye point. An adjustment unit changes a position of the three-dimensional object for distortion correction from a reference position, according to the positional change.

Afterimages of a move-target image which is moved at high speed are reduced even if a display unit with slow response characteristics is used. A drawing device for continuously drawing a move-target image as a moving picture on a display image displayed on a display unit includes: a drawing position identification unit which identifies a current drawing position at which the move-target image is drawn on the display screen; a past drawing position storage unit in which is stored a prescribed number of past drawing positions where the move-target image is drawn previously; an afterimage-reducing region detection unit which detects an afterimage-reducing region of the move-target image, the afterimage reducing region extending from the current drawing position to any one of the past drawing positions; an afterimage-reducing image drawing unit which draws an afterimage-reducing image in the afterimage reducing region; and a move-target image drawing unit which draws the move-target image at the current drawing position.

A trapezoid-shaped motion blur pointer image is composed of edges of normal pointer images. The normal pointer image and the motion blur pointer image are not overlapped with each other to prevent unevenness in brightness. The brightness of the motion blur pointer image is even in a whole area of the motion blur pointer image. The brightness of the motion blur pointer image has an inverted relationship with an area thereof, or is varied corresponding to a rotation speed of the pointer image.

When switching a motion blur pointer image to a normal pointer image, an intermediate pointer image is displayed between the motion blur pointer image and the normal pointer image. The present invention is to provide a liquid crystal display (LCD) meter apparatus having a small influence of a residual image of a pointer. The LCD meter apparatus for displaying a dial plate and a pointer includes a moving-speed calculating device for calculating the moving-speed of the pointer; and an image density changing device for reducing the image density of the pointer responding to the moving-speed of the pointer calculated with the moving-speed calculating device. The image density of the pointer becomes thinner as the moving speed of the pointer becomes faster so that an erasing time of the image becomes shorter or a residual image remains shorter. Both residual and latest images are displayed thinly, the plurality of the images including the residual images do not give a noticeable appearance so that the LCD meter apparatus provides a clear view.

A pressure-sensitive sensor is provided with a tube member having a hollow portion defined by an inner wall and made of flexible material, a first belt-like electrode disposed on an upper side of the tube member in the tube member and a second belt-like electrode disposed on a lower side of the hollow portion in the tube member so as to oppose the first belt-like electrode. When the pressure-sensitive sensor is pressed, the first belt-like electrode and the second belt-like electrode are capable of contacting each other so as to ensure conductivity. Further the pressure-sensitive sensor has a contact adjusting portion provided on an inner wall of the tube member and for adjusting a contact between the first belt-like electrode and the second belt-like electrode. A simple and cheap opening and closing motion control device is provided for avoiding pinching of an object by a window glass with high accuracy. The device includes a flexible weather strip arranged along a contact portion of a window frame, the contact portion being touched by the window glass when it is closed, a linear electrostatic-capacity detecting sensor embedded in the weather strip, for detecting an electrostatic capacity in the circumference of the sensor, a control micro-computer for judging whether or not the object is pinched by the closing motion of the window glass, on the basis of the detection of the sensor, and a motor drive circuit for allowing a motor to either stop or open the window glass when the micro-computer judges that the object is on the point of being pinched.
