A dimming agent according to one or more embodiments is disclosed that may include at least one of terbium, praseodymium, manganese, titanium. A diffuse reflection intensity of the dimming agent in a wavelength of from 400 nm to 750 nm may be 80% or less.

A light emitting device includes: a first blue light emitting element and a second blue light emitting element, peak wavelengths of which are different from each other, and a fluorescent substance layer comprising: a green fluorescent substance, which is excited by emission lights from the first blue light emitting element and the second blue light emitting element to emit green lights having emission spectrums having a first wavelength indicating a first intensity and a second wavelength indicating a second intensity smaller than the first intensity, respectively; and a red fluorescent substance, which has an absorption spectrum in which absorption is less in the second wavelength than in the first wavelength and which is excited by the emission lights from the first blue light emitting element and the second blue light emitting element to emit red lights.

A semiconductor light emitting device includes a recess portion defined by a pair of opposing first side wall portions and a pair of opposing second side wall portions extending between the first side wall portions and shorter than the first side wall portions. Light emitting elements are arranged on the bottom surface of the recess portion in a direction of the first side wall portions. The light emitting elements include a first light emitting element for emitting light of a first color and a second light emitting element for emitting light of a second color different from the first color and placed closest to the second side wall portion among the light emitting elements.
