A centrifugal casting apparatus includes a mold holder placed on a freely rotatable rotary table, and a mold put into and held by the mold holder. The mold holder includes a mold holder body made of a metal material and having a bottomed cylindrical shape, heat insulation members provided on an inner peripheral surface and a bottom surface of the mold holder body, and mold positioning members each made of a ceramic and provided to protrude from the heat insulation member on the bottom surface of the mold holder body. The mold includes a mold body having a cavity into which a molten metal is to be poured, and a mold base provided to the mold body and having mold positioning member insertion holes engageable with the mold positioning members.

A Ni-based single crystal superalloy which has the following composition: Co: 4.0 to 9.5 wt %, Cr: 5.1 to 8.0 wt %, Mo: 2.1 to 3.5 wt %, W: 0.0 to 2.9 wt %, Ta: 4.0 to 10.0 wt %, Al: 4.5 to 6.5 wt %, Ti: 0.0 to 1.0 wt %, Hf: 0.08 to 0.5 wt %, Nb: 0.0 to 3.0 wt %, Re: 4.5 to 8.0 wt % and Ru: 0.5 to 6.5 wt % with the remainder including Ni and unavoidable impurities, wherein P1&#x2266;700 is satisfied in which P1 represents a parameter 1, which is obtained by a formula: P1=137&#xd7;[W (wt %)]+24&#xd7;[Cr (wt %)]+46&#xd7;[Mo (wt %)]&#x2212;18&#xd7;[Re (wt %)].

Ni-based single crystal superalloy and turbine blade incorporating the same

A Ni-based single crystal superalloy which has the following composition: Co: 0.0 wt % or more to 15.0 wt % or less, Cr: 4.1 to 8.0 wt %, Mo: 2.1 to 4.5 wt %, W: 0.0 to 3.9 wt %, Ta: 4.0 to 10.0 wt %, Al: 4.5 to 6.5 wt %, Ti: 0.0 to 1.0 wt %, Hf: 0.00 to 0.5 wt %, Nb: 0.0 to 3.0 wt %, Re: 8.1 to 9.9 wt % and Ru: 0.5 to 6.5 wt % with the remainder including Ni and unavoidable impurities. As a result, the Ni-based single crystal superalloy which includes more than 8 wt % of Re in the composition ratio and has excellent specific creep strength and the turbine blade incorporating the Ni-based single crystal superalloy may be made.

A Ni-based single crystal superalloy according to the invention has, for example, a composition including: 5.0 to 7.0 wt % of Al, 4.0 to 10.0 wt % of Ta, 1.1 to 4.5 wt % of Mo, 4.0 to 10.0 wt % of W, 3.1 to 8.0 wt % of Re, 0.0 to 2.0 wt % of Hf, 2.5 to 8.5 wt % of Cr, 0.0 to 9.9 wt % of Co, 0.0 to 4.0 wt % of Nb, and 1.0 to 14.0 wt % of Ru in terms of weight ratio; and the remainder including Ni and incidental impurities. In addition, the contents of Cr, Hf and Al are preferably set so as to satisfy the equation OP&#x2267;108. According to the Ni-based single crystal superalloy of the invention, high creep strength can be maintained and the oxidation resistance can be improved.

Ni-based single crystal superalloy

A mold having a shell and a porous layer formed on the surface of the cavity of the shell. The mold can be suitably used for manufacturing a porous body having a porous layer on the surface thereof. The method for manufacturing the mold, includes the steps of forming a layer of combustible powdery particles around a wax mold, which is a lost pattern, a step of forming a film of a ceramic precursor slurry around the wax mold having powdery particles formed thereon, a step of subjecting the resultant product to a heat treatment, to thereby dewax the wax mold, and a step of firing the slurry film, to thereby burn and vanish the powdery particles in the slurry film and form a shell.

Mold

A method for manufacturing a mold (), which comprises a step of forming a layer () of combustible powdery particles () around a wax mold (), which is a lost pattern, a step of forming a film () of a ceramic precursor slurry () around the wax mold () having powdery particles () formed thereon, a step of subjecting the resultant product to a heat treatment, to thereby dewax the wax mold (), and a step of firing the slurry film (), to thereby burn and vanish the powdery particles () in the slurry film () and form a shell (). The mold () has the shell () and a porous layer () formed on the surface () of the cavity of the shell. The mold can be suitably used for manufacturing a porous body () having a porous layer () on the surface thereof.

Method for manufacturing mold

A Ni-based single crystal super alloy capable of improving strength by preventing precipitation of a TCP phase at high temperatures may be obtained by a Ni-based single crystal super alloy having a composition consisting of 5.0-7.0 wt % Al, 4.0-8.0 wt % Ta, 2.9-4.5 wt % Mo, 4.0-8.0 wt % W, 3.0-6.0 wt % Re, 0.01-0.50 wt % Hf, 2.0-5.0 wt % Cr, 0.1-15.0 wt % Co and 1.0-4.0 wt % Ru in terms of its weight ratio, with the remainder consisting of Ni and unavoidable impurities. Preferably, the composition of Co in the Ni-based single crystal super alloy is limited to 0.1-9.5 wt %.
