The present invention provides a display device, whereby occurrence of defects due to a sealing member being uncured, and occurrence of defective products due to misalignment can be suppressed, and furthermore, in the cases where misalignment is generated, variance of a curing time of the seal material and power consumption among display apparatuses can be reduced. This display device is provided with a first substrate, a second substrate, and a seal between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate includes a plurality of conductive layers, a plurality of bus lines, and first and second lead-out lines that are connected to the corresponding bus lines, respectively. The first and second lead-out lines respectively include, below the seal, a first portion and a second portion. The first and second portions are respectively provided in different conductive layers, and extend in a first direction. One of the first and second portions partially overlaps the other, and the position of the second portion with respect to the first portion changes in a prescribed period.

Display apparatus

An active matrix substrate includes: an electrode layer formed on the insulating substrate within a display region; a mark disposed on the insulating substrate within a non-display region, and made of a same material as the electrode layer; a first insulating film directly covering each of the electrode layer and the mark; and a second insulating film covering a part of the first insulating film. Within at least a part of the sealing region, the second insulating film is removed from the insulating substrate. The mark is disposed in the at least the part of the sealing region in which the second insulating film is removed, and is provided to overlap at least a part of the sealing region. A protective film is formed on the insulating substrate to cover a side surface and a surface of the first insulating film covering the mark, the surface of the first insulating film being located opposite from the insulating substrate.

High-performance active matrix substrate with high signal quality

An active matrix substrate of the present invention includes: a first signal line and a second signal line which are aligned in a column direction in which the first signal line and the second signal line extend; a first transistor and a second transistor; and a first electrode and a second electrode, the first signal line being connected via the first transistor to the first electrode, and the second signal line being connected via the second transistor to the second electrode, and the first signal line having a first end which is one of both ends of the first signal line and faces the second signal line, the first end including a tapered part which is tapered toward the second signal line. This makes it possible to prevent a leakage defect from occurring between two signal lines which are aligned in a direction in which the two signal lines extend.

Active matrix substrate, x-ray sensor device, display device

The active matrix substrate includes: a plurality of switching elements provided on an insulating substrate; a plurality of lines provided on the insulating substrate and connected to the switching elements; an interlayer insulating film covering the switching elements and the lines; a plurality of pixel electrodes formed on the interlayer insulating film; and a plurality of terminals connected to the lines and placed with a predetermined spacing. At least part of each of the terminals is not covered with the interlayer insulating film. A reflection layer configured to reflect light is provided in a region that is at least part of each gap between the adjacent terminals and includes an edge of the interlayer insulating film, as viewed from the normal to the surface of the insulating substrate.

Active matrix substrate and display device having the same

A display panel includes a plurality of display lines provided in each of blocks and extending in parallel with each other, a plurality of drive circuits provided outside a display region and connected to the display lines in the respective blocks, a plurality of first lines provided outside the display region and intersecting end portions closer to the drive circuits of the display lines in the respective blocks, the first lines being insulated from the display lines, and a second line provided outside the display region and intersecting end portions farther from the drive circuits of the display lines of all the blocks, the second line being insulated from the display lines. The second line is configured to intersect the first lines while being insulated from the first lines, and be supplied with a display signal from each of the drive circuits via an amplifier circuit.

On a termination side of each scanning line is provided a charging switching element and a discharging switching element in parallel with each other, the charging switching element having a gate electrode which is connected with one end of a scanning auxiliary line, the other end of which is connected to a scanning line of the same stage, the discharging switching element having a gate electrode which is connected with one end of a scanning auxiliary line, the other end of which is connected to a scanning line of the following stage. Further, the charging switching element has a source/drain electrode which is connected to a scanning line and a selected state scanning driving voltage power source, whereas the discharging switching element has a source/drain electrode which is connected to a scanning line and the non-selected state scanning driving voltage power source, thereby allowing an image display device of the present invention to suppress the dull waveform of a driving voltage at both rise and fall, and prevent erroneous writing without reducing effective writing time.

Image display device

The liquid crystal display device includes an active matrix substrate, a counter substrate having a counter electrode, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the active matrix substrate and the counter substrate. The liquid crystal display device further includes a plurality of scanning lines, a plurality of signal lines formed perpendicular to the plurality of scanning lines, switching elements formed in the vicinity of crossings of the plurality of scanning lines and the plurality of signal lines, a plurality of pixel electrodes connected to the corresponding signal lines via the switching elements, and a plurality of supplemental capacitance lines formed in parallel with the corresponding scanning lines, wherein the pixel electrodes are formed over the corresponding scanning lines, and divisions of the adjacent pixel electrodes along the signal lines are located above the corresponding supplemental capacitance lines.

Liquid crystal display device

An active display device, comprising: a plurality of source buses and a plurality of gate buses; a plurality of pixel electrodes, said pixel electrodes each having associated therewith a switching element for delivering a drive signal to said pixel electrode from at least one of said source buses as a function of a signal provided by at least one of said gate buses; and means other than said switching elements for selectively electrically connecting at least one of said pixel electrodes to a corresponding one of said source buses in the event said at least one pixel electrode is considered to be defective.

An active matrix display device which includes a first and a second insulating substrates, a gate bus an adjacent gate bus, and a source bus arranged on the first substrate, a pixel electrode in a segment enclosed by the gate and the source buses, a switching element connected to the pixel electrode, the gate bus and the source bus, wherein the source bus comprises a projection extending toward the pixel electrode so as to be electrically disconnected therefrom, and the adjacent gate bus comprises a projection extending toward the pixel electrode, the source bus being overlaid on the adjacent gate bus projection with an insulating layer sandwiched therebetween, the adjacent gate bus projection being provided with an electroconductive member at the top thereof with an insulating layer sandwiched therebetween, the electroconductive member being electrically connected to the pixel electrode, and electrically disconnected from the source bus projection.
