A magnetic sensor comprises a magnetic detection unit that outputs a signal by applying a magnetic field, and a signal correction unit that corrects the signal output from the magnetic detection unit. The magnetic detection unit includes a magnetoresistive effect element having a predetermined sensitivity axis. The signal correction unit generates a corrected signal by correcting the signal using a correction value capable of reducing the distortion error included in the signal output from the magnetic detection unit when the magnetic field having an intersecting direction that obliquely intersects the sensitivity axis is applied to the magnetoresistive effect element.

Magnetic sensor, electric control device, correction method, and magnetic sensor manufacturing method

An air-conditioning device includes a main circuit in which a refrigerant circulates; a flow channel-switching unit that selects a certain parallel heat exchanger as a defrosting target; a bypass pipe; a temperature-detecting unit; and one or more processors. The processor(s) operates the flow channel-switching unit such that an operation mode is switched between a normal heating operation mode in which the parallel heat exchangers serve as evaporators and a defrosting heating operation mode in which one parallel heat exchanger is selected as the defrosting target to cause part of the refrigerant to flow thereinto via the bypass pipe and the other parallel heat exchangers serves as an evaporator. The processor(s) senses erroneous installation of an installed component based on a magnitude relationship between the detected temperatures in the parallel heat exchangers detected by the temperature-detecting unit.

Provided is a magnetic field detection device that includes a first and second soft magnetic bodies, and a magnetic detector. The first and second soft magnetic bodies extend along a first plane and are disposed in confronted relation in a third direction. The first plane includes both a first direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The third direction is orthogonal to both the first and second directions. The magnetic detector is provided between the first and second soft magnetic bodies in the third direction.

Inspection apparatus and method for inspecting magnetic sensor

An air-conditioning apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit and a controller. The refrigerant circuit includes a main circuit and a bypass circuit. The bypass circuit is connected, by a pipe, to each of a plurality of parallel outdoor heat exchangers via a defrosting refrigerant pressure-reducing device, a defrosting flow passage switching device, and a backflow prevention device. The controller switches a flow passage for use in introduction of refrigerant using the defrosting flow passage switching device, to select one of the plurality of parallel outdoor heat exchangers as a defrosting target to be defrosted; and supplies defrosting refrigerant whose pressure is reduced by the defrosting refrigerant pressure-reducing device to the selected one of the plurality of parallel outdoor heat exchangers.

Air-conditioning apparatus with defrost bypass circuit

A magnetic field detection device includes a base, a first yoke, and a magneto-resistive effect element. The first yoke is provided on the base, and includes first and second principal surfaces each extending along a first plane, and a first end surface coupling the first and second principal surfaces. The magneto-resistive effect element is provided on the base, and includes a magnetization free layer disposed at a position overlapped with the first yoke in a first direction along the first plane. The first end surface includes an inverted tapered surface inclined relative to the first plane and extending closer to a center point of the magnetization free layer as being away from the base in a second direction orthogonal to the first plane. A distance from the center point to a first edge is shorter than a distance from the center point to a second edge.

An MR element includes a first magnetic layer, a second magnetic layer, and a nonmagnetic layer disposed between the first magnetic layer and the second magnetic layer. The first magnetic layer has a magnetic shape anisotropy set in a first reference direction, and has a magnetization whose direction changes depending on an external magnetic field, the magnetization being oriented in a first magnetization direction in a state where the external magnetic field is not applied. The second magnetic layer has a magnetic shape anisotropy set in a second reference direction, and has a magnetization whose direction changes depending on the external magnetic field, the magnetization being oriented in a second magnetization direction in a state where the external magnetic field is not applied.

A magnetic sensor device includes a first detection circuit, a second detection circuit, and a processor. The processor is configured to execute first generation processing for generating a first initial detection value, second generation processing for generating a second initial detection value, first correction processing, second correction processing, and determination processing. The first correction processing is processing for correcting the first initial detection value and updating the first initial detection value. The second correction processing is processing for correcting the second initial detection value and updating the second initial detection value. The processor executes the determination processing after alternately executing the first correction processing and the second correction processing.

An air-conditioning apparatus includes a compressor, an outdoor fan, and a controller configured to perform a fan intermittent operation for causing the outdoor fan to run and stop repeatedly after the compressor stops. The controller is configured to, in the fan intermittent operation, in a case where the outdoor fan is running and there is no snow accumulation on the outdoor fan, change a stop upper limit time for the outdoor fan depending on a running time of the outdoor fan in the fan intermittent operation and cause the outdoor fan to stop running after changing the stop upper limit time for the outdoor fan. Sludge dehydrating agent and sludge dehydration method

A magnetic sensor of the present invention has an elongate element portion having a magnetoresistive effect and a pair of elongate soft magnetic bodies that are arranged along the element portion on both sides of the element portion with regard to a short axis thereof. Each soft magnetic body includes a central portion that is adjacent to the element portion from one end to another end of the element portion with regard to a long axis direction thereof and a pair of end portions that protrude from the central portion in the long axis direction. A magnetic sensor includes a substrate including a top surface, an insulating layer including an inclined surface, and a magnetic detection element disposed on the inclined surface. The magnetic detection element includes a first side surface and a second side surface. The first side surface is located at a position forward in a first direction that is one direction along the inclined surface. The second side surface is located at a position forward in a second direction that is another direction along the inclined surface. The magnetic detection element includes a first non-constant portion in which a gap between an upper end of the first side surface and an upper end of the second side surface becomes smaller along the longitudinal direction of the magnetic detection element.

Magnetization of a free layer in each of two of the resistor sections includes a component in a third magnetization direction.
