A method for ascertaining following distances as a function of position by a control device. Measurement data of at least one trajectory along at least one route, having a multiplicity of measurement points including position data and distance data from vehicles that are ahead, are received, A group of test points along the route is distributed at pre-defined distances from one another. At each test point, an intersection line that is oriented transversely in relation to a course of the route is generated, Pairs of points corresponding to the intersection lines are ascertained from the multiplicity of measurement points. Based on the distance data, at least one following distance is allocated to the pairs of points corresponding to at least one intersection line. A control device, a computer program, and a machine-readable storage medium are also described.

Curtain airbag device

A developing device includes a developing unit, a rotating member that rotates in a predetermined direction to generate an airflow in a space that accommodates the developing unit, and first and second partitioning members. The first partitioning member is disposed between the developing unit and the rotating member, and has first and second openings that are each provided with an opening-closing mechanism and respectively disposed at upstream and downstream sides in a direction of the airflow generated when the rotating member rotates in the predetermined direction. The second partitioning member is disposed between the developing unit and an external space, and has third and fourth openings that are each provided with an opening-closing mechanism and respectively disposed at downstream and upstream sides in the direction of the airflow generated when the rotating member rotates in the predetermined direction.

A developing device includes a developing unit; an airflow generator that generates an airflow in a space accommodating the developing unit; a partitioning member that has at least two openings located upstream of the developing unit in a direction of the airflow and that divides a region in which the developing unit is present from a region in which the developing unit is not present, the two openings being located at an upstream position and a downstream position in the direction of the airflow, at least the opening at the upstream position being provided with an opening-closing mechanism; and an element that performs at least an exothermic process in the space accommodating the developing unit.

An image forming apparatus includes: a fusing unit that heats a toner image and fixes the toner image on a recording medium; an exhaust passage that allows air heated by the fusing unit to flow and discharges the air to an outside of the apparatus; a delivery unit that moves the air in the exhaust passage in a discharge direction; a target structural component to which the air is to be delivered; a ventilation passage that connects a portion on a downstream side of the delivery unit of the exhaust passage in the discharge direction and the target structural component, and that allows the air to flow; and an adjuster that adjusts a passage through which the air flows, at a branch point between the exhaust passage and the ventilation passage.
