A rotary compressor includes: a driving element which is provided inside a sealed container; and a rotary compression element which is provided inside the sealed container so as to be located below the driving element. A refrigerant discharge pipe is inserted from a side surface of the sealed container above the driving element into the sealed container, and is opened in the horizontal direction. A refrigerant compressed by the rotary compression element is discharged from a discharge hole into the sealed container, and is discharged from the refrigerant discharge pipe to the outside of the sealed container. The position of the discharge hole is set to a position below an area Aon the opposite side of the opening direction of the refrigerant discharge pipe from a line Lpassing an opening surface of the refrigerant discharge pipe and perpendicular to the opening direction of the refrigerant discharge pipe.

Rotary compressor with improved oil retention

There is disclosed a scroll compressor having an object of stabilizing the moving of an orbit scroll while suppressing the start load of the scroll compressor. In the scroll compressor, a slide bush having a slide face forming a predetermined angle with respect to the direction of gas load of a gas in a compression chamber is interposed on an eccentric shaft of a shaft for driving the orbit scroll, so that when the load of the gas in the compression chamber is applied, the eccentric amount of the eccentric shaft increases. The scroll compressor includes a spring member interposed between the slide bush and the eccentric shaft and configured to constantly urge the eccentric shaft to decrease the eccentric amount of the eccentric shaft, and this spring member urges the eccentric shaft to press the eccentric shaft onto the slide face of the slide bush.

In this case, a space between the cylinder and the hermetically sealed container is set smaller than a distance from the O ring to an end of the plug on the hermetically sealed container side.

In a two-stage rotary compressor of the present invention, an oil supply hole connecting an oil reservoir on a bottom portion in a closed vessel to a suction port formed in a lower supporting member is provided in the lower supporting member attached to the lower side of a high stage side rotary compressing element, and a necessary amount of oil is supplied into return refrigerant gas sucked into the high stage side rotary compressing element through this oil supply hole. Thus an outer circumferential surface of a roller, which eccentrically rotates in a cylinder, is lubricated to protect it from wear. Additionally, the gas seal properties between an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder and an outer circumferential surface of the roller and between a roller end surface and a partition plate and between a roller end surface and a cylinder end surface, are increased whereby the compression efficiency of the refrigerant gas can be improved. Further, the lower supporting member is provided with a bearing portion as well as a muffling chamber, and also a cover plate, which closes an opening surface of the muffling chamber. Further a concave groove is provided on a lower end surface of the bearing portion in the circumferential direction and an O ring is attached to the groove and gas-sealing is made by interposing a gasket in a connection portion between the lower supporting member and the cover plate. Accordingly, concave grooving work for O ring attachment in the outer circumference of the bearing portion and cutting work in the upper supporting member, which have been conventionally performed, can be eliminated.

A sleeve connecting a refrigerant pipe to a sealed compressor container has a reduced outer dimension and an inner step that accommodates the refrigerant pipe. An end of the refrigerant pipe abuts the inner step to accurately locate the refrigerant pipe to permit the refrigerant pipe to be secured in an desired relationship with the sleeve. The sleeve is attached to the container with increased accuracy and less chance of damage to the container through deformation during the attachment process. The sleeve and container may be composed of iron, while the refrigerant pipe may be composed of copper, so that the more rigid sleeve can accurately couple the less rigid refrigerant pipe to the container.

A high inner pressure type multistage compression rotary compressor having a support member blocking an opening of a cylinder constituting the rotary compression element and having a bearing of a rotary shaft. The surface of the support member on a side opposite to the cylinder is depressed, and a rib is added to a part of this depressed portion. A discharge muffling chamber formed in the surface of the support member on the side opposite to the cylinder is divided into a plurality of discharge muffling chambers, and the divided discharge muffling chambers are connected to each other by a passage disposed it a blocking plate and/or the rib.

An oil supply hole connecting an oil reservoir to a suction port formed in a lower supporting member of a two-stage rotary compressor is disclosed. The suction port is provided in the lower supporting member attached to the lower side of a high stage side rotary compressing element, and a necessary amount of oil is supplied into return refrigerant gas sucked into the high stage side rotary compressing element through this oil supply hole. Thus an outer circumferential surface of a roller, which eccentrically rotates in a cylinder, is lubricated to protect it from wear.
