To provide a water disintegratable fibrous sheet with high water disintegratability and wet strength, that can be used as a cleaning sheet. A prescribed water disintegratable fibrous sheet comprising 30-50% by mass of unbeaten pulp (a) with a beating degree of 700 cc or greater; 20-40% by mass of beaten pulp (b) with a beating degree of 400-700 cc; 15-45% by mass of regenerated cellulose (c) with a beating degree of 700 cc or greater; and 2-15% by mass of fibrillated purified cellulose (d) with a beating degree of 0-400 cc.

Water-decomposable cleaning product and production method thereof

A water disintegrable cleaning utensil of the present invention has: a cleaning part, at least part of which is formed by a wet shrinkable resin being hydrophilic and shrinkable at least in one direction when absorbing water; and a holding part which holds the cleaning part. By this structure, the water disintegrable cleaning utensil is very effective at cleaning both in a dry and in a wet condition and is disintegrable in water when being disposed of after being used.

An inter-labium product capable of disintegration in water, fitted to the inter-labium part; and a surface-side sheet for inter-labium product that simultaneously realizes comfortability at wearing of the inter-labium product and capability of water disintegration such that the inter-labium product is disintegrated when thrown in flush water of water closet after use. The surface-side sheet for use in an inter-labium product fitted to the inter-labium part is comprised of hydrophilic fibers composed of single fibers and fibril fibers having fuzzes branched from the surface thereof, wherein at least some of the branched fuzzes link the single fibers and the fibril fibers to each other. Thus, not only can the wet tensile strength be increased but also inter-fibrous bonds are slowly decomposed in the presence of a large amount of water to thereby enable disposal of the inter-labium product in a flush toilet. Furthermore, since no resin is used, the inter-labium product is free from resin leaching to thereby avoid problems, such as itching and skin roughness, caused by the resin leaching.

Conventional water-decomposable fibrous sheets for cleaning sheets capable of being disposed of in toilets and others do not have well-balanced decomposability in water and strength. The water-decomposable fibrous sheet containing from 5 to 100% by mass of fibrillated rayon having a fiber length of at most 10 mm and having a degree of beating of at most 700 cc, optionally along with other fibers having a length of at most 10 mm, has good decomposability in water and high wet strength. When subjected to water-jetting treatment, it becomes more bulky to have a soft feel.

Provided is a water-decomposable fibrous sheet includes fibers containing fibrillated rayon. The fibrillated rayon has primary fibers of a predetermined fiber length and microfibers extending from the primary fibers. The fibrillated rayon includes a first type of fibrillated rayon having a degree of beating of at most 700 cc, of which the length of the primary fibers falls between 1.8 mm and 4.0 mm at the peak of its self-weighted, average fiber length distribution profile curve, and a second type of fibrillated rayon having a degree of beating of at most 700 cc, of which the length of the primary fibers falls between 4.5 mm and 10.0 mm at the peak of its self-weighted, average fiber length distribution profile curve. After laminating together the first sheets crepe-processed at a high crepe ratio and the second sheet crepe-processed at a crepe ratio lower than that of the first sheet or not crepe-processed, the sheets are bonded together at bonding parts at a given pitch in rows. When the resulting bonded sheets are impregnated with a liquid, expansions are generated between the rows of bonding parts due to the difference in ratios of the elongation of the two sheets. The expansions take on the shape of large wrinkle according to the pitch of the bonding parts. At the production process of the sheet, the sheet is crepe-processed containing water at a preset ratio, whereby small wrinkles as residual crepe wrinkles are formed on the sheet surface. The large wrinkles and the small wrinkles can enhance the wiping effect.

Provided is a multi-layered water-decomposable fibrous sheet with a plurality of layers each having a different fibrous constitution being integrated, including a top layer on a top surface and a back layer on a back surface. The top layer includes fibrillated rayon of at least 3% by mass of all fibers constituting the top layer. The fibrillated rayon has a degree of beating of at most 700 cc, and has primary fibers of a predetermined fiber length and microfibers extending from the primary fibers. The microfibers are entangled with and/or hydrogen-bonded to at least either of other microfibers and other fibers. The back layer includes fibers containing no fibrillated rayon, the fibers entangled with and/or hydrogen-bonded to each other, or the back layer includes the fibrillated rayon in an amount smaller than that in the top layer. The microfibers of the fibrillated rayon are entangled with and/or hydrogen-bonded to at least either of other microfibers and other fibers.

This invention provides a wet process for manufacturing a nonwoven fabric, including the steps of: forming a fibrous web by supplying raw material fibers together with water onto a slope of a net-shaped wire conveyor band running on a plurality of rolls; completely forming a nonwoven fabric over the wire conveyor band by supplying water jets to the fibrous web over the wire conveyor band; transferring the formed nonwoven fabric from the wire conveyor band to another conveyor band; and drying the nonwoven fabric. Also disclosed is an apparatus using the wet nonwoven fabric manufacturing process.
