Provided is a surface-treated carbon nanotube having few surface fractures, not reducing the molecular weight of the resin to be mixed and having excellent extrudability. In the surface-treated carbon nanotube, the thermal reduction amount at 600&#xb0; C. in a nitrogen atmosphere is 0.2 to 40%, the surface oxygen concentration measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) is 1.5 to 40 atm % and the surface sulfur concentration is less than 0.1 atm %.

Surface-treated carbon nanotube and resin composition

Disclosed is a resin composition comprising an aromatic polyamide having a terminal amino group concentration of 5 to 45 &#x3bc;moles/g inclusive, polyphenylene ether, a compatibilizing agent for the polyamide and the polyphenylene ether, and a crystal nucleating agent. The present invention relates to a method for producing a conductive masterbatch containing a polyamide resin and a carbonaceous filler. The present invention provides a method for producing a conductive masterbatch which can suppress an increase in resin temperature during extrusion, formation of die drips, and strand breakage and can also significantly increase the output of extruding. The method is achieved by the steps of feeding the carbonaceous filler to a molten first polyamide to melt-knead them together and then feeding a second polyamide to the resulting melt-kneaded product to further melt-knead the second polyamide, the carbonaceous filler, and the first polyamide.

A glass fiber reinforced polyamide resin composition comprising: (A) a polyamide resin; and, per 100 parts by weight thereof, (B) from 20 to 170 parts by weight of glass fibers; (C) from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a higher fatty acid amide compound; and (D) from 0.005 to 5 parts by weight of a higher fatty acid metal salt having an acid value of 0.5 mg KOH/g or less. The composition preferably further comprises (E) from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of an azine dye per 100 parts by weight of a polyamide resin (A). Also disclosed is a molded article obtained from the composition.
