When an electric connector assembly is in a connector fitting state, a distance from a receptacle protruding wall first end surface on one end side of a receptacle housing in a longitudinal direction to an inner surface of a receptacle end wall on the other end side and a distance from a plug end wall first inner surface on one end side of a plug housing in the longitudinal direction to an outer surface of a plug end wall on the other end side are equal to each other at an optional position in an upper-lower direction.

Electric connector assembly

An electrical connector to be connected to a mating connector includes a housing formed of an insulation material; and a terminal disposed in the housing. The terminal is formed in a curved shape bent in a thickness direction thereof. The terminal includes a held portion fixed to the housing, an elastic arm portion, and a connection portion to be connected to a circuit board. The elastic arm portion includes a contact portion and a slant surface portion. The slant surface portion has a thickness decreasing toward a distal end portion of the elastic arm portion, and the contact portion is disposed adjacent to the slant surface portion.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes a housing and a plurality of terminals disposed in the housing. The housing includes a bottom wall and a protruding wall. The terminal includes a held portion for being held in the housing, a base portion, a transition portion, an elastic arm portion and a contact portion. The protruding wall includes a plurality of vertical wall portions and a displacement receiving recess. The housing has an opening penetrating the bottom wall at least at a lower side of the displacement receiving recess. The displacement receiving recess communicates with the opening. Further, the base portion and the transition portion of the terminal are situated outside of the displacement receiving recess.

An electrical connector includes a plurality of terminals, a housing and a shield plate. The terminals are arranged and held in the housing. The shield plate is formed by bending a metal plate and attached to the housing. The housing includes a sidewall and an edge wall at an end portion of the sidewall. The shield plate includes a shield portion covering an outer surface of the sidewall and a held. The held portion is supported on a holding portion disposed on the edge wall of the housing. The shield portion includes a regulating portion capable of abutting against the outer surface of the sidewall. The regulating portion regulates deformation of the shield portion when the shield plate is attached to the housing.

An electrical connector (a connector) includes a housing and a terminal disposed in the housing. The terminal includes a contact portion. When the connector is fitted to a mating connector in a fitting direction, the contact portion pushes a mating terminal of the mating connector in a pushing direction perpendicular to the fitting direction and deforms the mating terminal elastically in the pushing direction. The contact portion includes a guide portion and a sliding contact portion with a protruded band shape situated at a rear position in the fitting direction relative to the guide portion. The guide portion guides the mating terminal and the sliding contact portion slides against the mating terminal when the connector is fitted to the mating connector.

A connector to be connected to a mating connector includes a housing having a receptacle recess portion for receiving the mating connector, and a terminal retained in the housing. The housing includes a containing groove extending in a connecting direction for containing a fitting portion of the terminal. The fitting portion of the terminal includes an engaging portion at a side end edge thereof. The containing groove includes a regulating wall portion extending in the connecting direction and located inner side than a position of an edge surface of the engaging portion at the containing groove. The regulating wall portion includes a regulating surface extending in the connecting direction and a width direction of the terminal. When the mating connector is extracted, the regulating surface regulates an elastic deformation of the fitting portion by abutting against and engaging with the engaging portion.

An electrical connector for a circuit board has a housing and a receiving recess portion for receiving a mating connector. A plurality of terminals is arranged in a terminal groove. The terminal has an attachment portion fitted to the housing and an elastic portion extending along the receiving recess portion. The elastic portion has a suspended arm portion, a bottom arm portion, and a rising arm portion. The rising arm portion has a contact portion on an upper edge position and an abutting portion below the contact portion.

A male connector is attached to a circuit board and fits with a female connector in a fitting direction perpendicular to a surface of the circuit board. A terminal of the male connector extends outside a housing thereof in parallel to the circuit board. The terminal has a connection portion to be connected with a circuit portion of the circuit board with solder. When the male connector and the female connector are fitted with each other, the connection portion has a facing region facing a top face of a peripheral wall of a housing of the female connector. The terminal includes a solder barrier layer formed at least in a nearest facing region of the facing region. The nearest facing region is situated to be closest to the top face.

The terminals of a pair of connectors are made by deforming sheet metal in the thicknesswise direction so that they are located within an interference area prior to connection. The terminal () of a connector () has a flat indentation (B-), while the terminal () of another connector () has a projection (A-) within an area corresponding to the flat indentation (B-). The flat indentation (B-) and the projection (A-) are located within the interference area upon connection.

An electrical connector () comprises a substantially rectangular peripheral wall () having an upper face, a receiving space () for receiving a mating connector (), and a plurality of terminals () arranged in a pair of opposed walls of the peripheral wall. The upper face of the peripheral wall includes a first surface (A), a second surface (B'), and a slant surface (C) in a transit area between the first and second surfaces of the upper face.
