A lens barrel includes a lens barrel part generally cylindrical about an optical axis, a first driving part arranged to serve as a drive source for executing a focusing action, a second driving part arranged to serve as a drive source for executing a zooming action and a third driving part arranged to serve as a drive source for executing an aperture reducing action. The first, second and third driving parts are disposed externally of the lens barrel part and circumferentially of the optical axis, and may have arcuate outer surfaces which may not extend beyond the perimeter of the lens barrel part.

Lens barrel

The present invention relates to an optical instrument such as an optical axis deflecting device or an image stabilizing device having an optical member supported for rotation about a predetermined axis and rotated about the predetermined axis to thereby deflect the optical axis of passing light, moving means adapted to move in a direction along a plane inclined by a predetermined angle from a plane perpendicular to the predetermined axis to thereby rotate the optical member about the predetermined axis, and driving means for driving the moving means. With such construction, a driving force generated by the driving means acts on that portion of the optical member which is far from the rotational shaft thereof and as a result, a driving torque for driving the optical member can be enhanced without causing the bulkiness and higher cost of the device and an increase in consumed electric power.

Image stabilizing device

A mounting mechanism for a zoom lens having a variator lens and a compensator lens in respective lens holding frames movable in fitting relation on guide bars suspended in a direction parallel to an optical axis, wherein a diaphragm unit is arranged in between the variator lens and the compensator lens, and a cam member for controlling the movement of the variator lens and the compensator lens is arranged on either one of the variator lens side and the compensator lens side of the diaphragm unit.

Zoom lens incorporating diaphragm

A lens mounting includes a movable cam having a cam portion formed to a convex shape, an axially movable member having a cam follower portion sliding on one of side surfaces of the convex cam portion of the cam in which a cam lift is formed. A lens is arranged to move axially in response to axial movement of the axially movable member, and a leaf spring pressing the other side surface of the convex cam portion urges the cam follower portion toward the one side surface of the convex cam portion. The leaf spring has its pressing portion at a position of the convex cam portion and is fixed to the axially movable member at a position displaced to a direction almost perpendicular to the optical axis from the pressing portion.

Lens mounting

The disclosed automatic focus adjusting device includes both an active type range finder and a passive type range finder. A selecting arrangement responds to a signal representing the position of a focusing lens and causes operation of either the first or the second range finder. Preferably, the active type range finder is operative when the system is actuated.
