Provided is a braking device for a vehicle comprising: a first hydraulic pressure generation unit which generates hydraulic pressure corresponding to the volume of a master chambers in the master chambers that change in volume according to the movement of master pistons; a second hydraulic pressure generation unit which is configured so as to be capable of generating a desired hydraulic pressure in a bottoming state in which the forward movement of the master pistons is restricted by a master cylinder; braking force generation units which apply the braking force corresponding to the input hydraulic pressure to wheels of a vehicle; and a braking force control unit which causes the second hydraulic pressure generation unit to generate hydraulic pressure in the bottoming state, and inputs the hydraulic pressure to the braking force generation units.

Braking device for vehicle

A master cylinder device including: a housing whose front side is closed and which has a separation wall for separating the inside of the housing into a front side chamber and a rear side chamber; a pressurizing piston disposed in the front side chamber so as to define a pressurizing chamber for pressurizing the brake fluid and an input chamber into which a brake fluid from a high pressure source is introduced; an input piston disposed in the rear side chamber and moving forward by an operation force; and a transmission rod which is through the separation wall, whose proximal end portion is fixed in one of the pressurizing and input pistons, and whose distal end portion is apart from the other of the pressurizing and input pistons in a state of no forward movement.

Master cylinder device

In a vehicle brake device, when a brake pedal is depressed normally, high regeneration efficiency and high fuel efficiency can be achieved by positively utilizing the regenerative braking force, and early applying of basic hydraulic braking force can be achieved when the brake pedal is suddenly depressed. The vehicle brake device includes an operation force transmitting mechanism on a connecting member between the brake pedal and the master cylinder piston and having first and second rods and a spring member biasing the first and second rods in a direction separating both rods from each other. The operation force transmitting mechanism includes an inner space between both rods and a communication passage allowing communication of the inner space with the exterior. The communication passage restricts the outflow of fluid in the inner space upon an emergency brake pedal depression and allows the outflow thereof upon non-emergency brake pedal depression.

Vehicle brake device

In a vehicle brake device, a port is provided at a hydraulic chamber of a master cylinder and communicates with a reservoir tank. A piston movable in the hydraulic chamber for closing the port is provided with at least one piston-side port that faces on the port when at a first position. When a brake pedal is stepped on from a retracted state to move the piston from the first position to a second position spaced from the first position by a predetermined distance, the hydraulic chamber is blocked from the communication with the reservoir tank. The at least one piston-side port is provided therein with an orifice, so that the hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic chamber is raised at the time of a quick stepping of the brake pedal but is allowed to flow to the reservoir tank without being raised at the time of a non-quick stepping.

When vehicle speed V decreases to or below a preset reference vehicle speed Vref during output of regenerative braking force from a motor in response to the driver's depression of a brake pedal, the vehicle of the invention performs a replacement pre-operation (steps Sto Sand S) and a replacement operation (steps Sto Sand S) and controls the motor and an electronically controlled hydraulic braking system to satisfy a braking force demand BF*. The replacement pre-operation actuates and controls pumps included in a brake actuator of the electronically controlled hydraulic braking system to exert their proper pressurization performance. The replacement operation decreases the regenerative braking force output from the motor and enhances a pressure increase by the pumps to replace the regenerative braking force with a pressure increase-based braking force BFpp.

A braking apparatus for a vehicle includes a hydraulic brake apparatus generating a basic hydraulic pressure so that a basic hydraulic braking force is generated at wheels, the hydraulic brake apparatus generating a controlled hydraulic pressure so that a controlled hydraulic braking force is generated at the wheels, a regenerative brake apparatus causing a regenerative braking force to be generated at any of the wheels, and braking force replacement controlling means for gradually replacing the regenerative braking force with the controlled hydraulic braking force while braking during which at least the regenerative braking force is applied for a purpose of achieving a braking force replacement control to ensure a total braking force required for the wheels by decreasing the regenerative braking force at a gradient within a predetermined range and by increasing the controlled hydraulic braking force in response to the decrease of the regenerative braking force.

A vehicular braking apparatus includes an electric motor that generates a wheel driving force or a regenerative wheel braking force and also includes a mechanical wheel braking force generating device, an external braking force generating device, and a braking control device. The mechanical wheel braking force generating device includes a working fluid pressure adjusting unit that generates a mechanical wheel braking force by transmitting the pressure of a working fluid. The external braking force generating device applies an external braking force other than a regenerative vehicle braking force generated by the electric motor and a mechanical vehicle braking force generated by the mechanical wheel braking force generating device, to a vehicle. The braking control device compensates a braking force by an external braking force in order to satisfy a requested vehicle braking force by a driver when the conversion efficiency of the electric motor to electrical energy is decreased.

A control unit of a brake apparatus includes a compensation braking force controlling device for controlling a compensation braking force in response to an operation of a brake operating member so that a characteristic of a total braking force relative to the operation of the brake operating member agrees with a predetermined target characteristic. A control unit of a brake apparatus for a vehicle comprises target braking force determining means determining a target value corresponding to a target braking force that is a target value of a braking force on the basis of a basic value corresponding to the basic hydraulic pressure, compensation braking force controlling means controlling a compensation braking force so that a total value corresponding to a total braking force is equal to the target value corresponding to the target braking force, and the target braking force determining means including hunting reducing hydraulic pressure calculating means calculating a controlling value corresponding to a hunting reducing hydraulic pressure, the controlling value obtained by applying process to the basic hydraulic pressure in order to control a variation thereof, and the target value corresponding to the target braking force is determined by use of the controlling value corresponding to the hunting reducing hydraulic pressure.
