A process for manufacturing an electrochemically active device comprising the steps of: &#x2014;providing a substrate () comprising an electrode receiving surface portion () having substantially constant wetting tension throughout said electrode receiving surface portion, &#x2014;providing a plurality of first electrodes () directly on said electrode receiving surface portion, &#x2014;leaving intermediate portions () of said electrode receiving surface portion () free from said electrodes, &#x2014;providing a layer of electrolyte () covering said plurality of first electrodes () and said intermediate portions (), and&#x2014;wherein wetting tension of the surfaces of the intermediate portions () is arranged to act more repelling on the electrolyte compared to the wetting tension of the surfaces of the plurality of first electrodes (), whereby, the electrolyte is concentrated to the surfaces of the plurality of first electrodes (), and the surfaces of the intermediate portions () are substantially free of electrolyte.

There is provided a display device, which is arranged to display a predetermined fixed image, having a pixel electrode layer comprising a plurality of pixel portions, and opaque solidified electrolyte arranged in a plurality of separated segments in ionic contact with a respective pixel portion, wherein each electrolyte segment and respective pixel portion form a pixel element. The fixed image display further comprises at least one continuous electrode layer extending across at least two rows and two columns of the pixel matrix, and is connected to the electrolyte segments of a subset of the pixel elements. Upon application of an electric potential difference between the patterned electrode layer and the pixel electrode layer, the pixel portions of the subset of the pixel elements switch color.

The 3D anti-reflection porous film or coating compositions (a) one polymer or a plurality of network polymers, (b) one particles and/or a plurality particles, (c) optionally one crosslinking agent or a plurality of crosslinking agents, (d) optionally one oligomer or a plurality of oligomers, (e) optionally one polymerized monomer or a plurality of polymerized monomers, and (f) optionally void spaces, where the composition has a transmittance value of at least 86% or a reflectance value of at most 4%.

There is disclosed a method for manufacturing a display device arrangement, which includes a plurality of electrochromic pixel devices arranged in a matrix. First a plastic insulating layer is provided comprising passages for electrical conductors. Thereafter, in optional order, electrical conductors are provided in the passages, pixel layers are printed on one side of the insulating layer, and control layers are printed on the other side of the insulating layer. By this method the manufacturing of a printed electrochromic pixel device is improved.

The laminate sheet can be produced at low cost, and defects can be prevented from being formed on the adhesive sheet when the laminate sheet is wound into a roll.

The present invention provides an optical disk producing sheet, obtained by laminating a stamper-receiving layerthat is energy rays-curable and whose storage elastic modulus prior to curing is from 10to 10Pa, and an adhesive layerwhose adhesive strength to polycarbonate is at least 200 mN/25 mm, and whose storage elastic modulus during the curing of the stamper-receiving layeris from 10to 10Pa. With the optical disk producing sheet, separation that occurs during the production of an optical disk, or during the storage of the finished product, is prevented, and warpage in the resulting optical disk is reduced.

A curable pressure sensitive adhesive composition is made to contain a polymer-containing energy rays-curable component and fine particles having an average particle diameter of not more than 30 nm, wherein the solid content of the fine particles is made to be from 5 to 60 wt %. A stamper-receiving layer or a curable pressure sensitive adhesive layer for bonding a protective layer is formed using this curable pressure sensitive adhesive composition, thus producing an optical disk producing sheet. This optical disk producing sheet has a low volume shrinkage rate upon curing, and has excellent adhesiveness. This provides a hard coat film having adequate surface hardness and suppressed warpage.

A process for producing a sheet for sustained release of a volatile drug, characterized by dissolving a resin serving as an adhesive in a volatile drug and using the resultant solution as a coating fluid to bond a film permeable to the volatile drug to another film permeable or impermeable to the volatile drug. No organic solvent or peeling film for process is used, accordingly, unlike the so far known process. Consequently, it is not necessary to provide the drying step for removing an organic solvent as well as any thermal energy. As a result, the number of production steps can be reduced considerably. In addition, since the volatile drug is homogeneously diluted in the adhesive, the volatile drug can be incorporated accurately and evenly even in an amount as small as 1 g/m or less. According to the process of the invention, a thinner layer containing a volatile drug can be formed.
