A threaded connection for pipes includes a pin, a box, a shoulder part plating layer, and a non-shoulder part plating layer. The shoulder part plating layer has an outermost layer formed of a high friction coefficient plating layer, and is arranged on a pin side shoulder part and/or a box side shoulder part. The non-shoulder part plating layer has an outermost layer formed of a low friction coefficient plating layer having a coefficient of friction lower than a coefficient of friction of the high friction coefficient plating layer, and the non-shoulder part plating layer is arranged on at least one of a pin side thread part, a pin side metal seal part, a box side thread part, and a box side metal seal part.

Threaded connection for pipes

A threaded connection for pipes according to the present embodiment includes a pin, a box, and a Zn—Ni alloy plating layer. The pin has a pin contact surface that includes an external thread part. The box has a box contact surface that includes an internal thread part. The Zn—Ni alloy plating layer is disposed on or above at least one of the pin contact surface and the box contact surface. The Zn—Ni alloy plating layer contains graphite.

The direction in which plating solution is injected from the nozzles () is inclined at an angle larger than 20 degrees and smaller than 90 degrees toward the thread (Tm) relative to a plane perpendicular to the pipe axis.

A control rod operation generates a rod insertion block signal during operation of a reactor. Four neutron detector assemblies including a plurality of LPRMs arranged in an axial direction of a core are arranged adjacent to a plurality of insertion selection control rods, respectively, which are simultaneously inserted into the core. Neutron flux ratio calculation units are arranged in each of the neutron detector assemblies, and ratios (neutron flux ratios B/A, C/A, and D/A) of an average LPRM signal of the respective LPRMs at positions B, C, and D to an average LPRM signal of the respective LPRMs at a position A which is closest to the control rod insertion end of the core are calculated. When the largest neutron flux ratio out of the neutron flux ratios exceeds a set neutron flux ratio, a rod insertion block signal which is generated by a local range rod insertion monitor is output.

An electroplating apparatus applies an electroplated coating to a female thread formed on a pipe end portion of a steel pipe. The apparatus includes an inner seal member, a capsule, a discharge outlet, an opening, a cylindrical insoluble anode, a plating solution supply tube, and a plurality of nozzles. The seal member divides the interior of the steel pipe at a location longitudinally inward of a region on which the female thread is formed. The capsule is attached to the pipe end portion. The outlet is designed to discharge a plating solution inside the capsule therefrom. The opening facilitates discharge of the solution inside the capsule. The anode is disposed in the inside of the pipe end portion. The supply tube projects from an end of the anode. The nozzles eject a plating solution between the outer surface of the anode and the inner surface of the pipe end portion.

Electroplating apparatus for steel pipes

An electro plating device includes a pipe inside seal mechanism which occludes an inner channel of a steel pipe, a tubular insoluble electrode which is disposed in a pipe end so as to be opposite to a female screw, a plating solution feed mechanism which includes a plurality of nozzles which extend radially with a pipe axis of the steel pipe as a center, and a pipe end seal mechanism which accommodates the nozzles thereinside and is mounted to the pipe end, when viewed in the pipe axial direction, a tip of each of the nozzles is positioned between the female screw and the insoluble electrode, and each of the nozzles injects the plating solution toward a direction which intersects an extension direction of the nozzle, the direction being a rotational direction of a clockwise direction or a counterclockwise direction in which the pipe axis is the center.

Electro plating device

A heat treated galvannealed steel material having excellent post-painting corrosion resistance and a high strength which is suitable for use as an automotive part and a method for its manufacture are provided. A galvannealed steel material having a galvannealed coating on at least one side thereof is heat treated by heating at least a portion thereof to a temperature range in which hardening is possible. The coating remaining on the surface of at least a part of the portion which underwent heat treatment has a coating weight of at least 20 g/mand at most 80 g/mper side and an Fe content of at least 15% and at most 35%, an &#x3b7; phase is present in the coating, and the centerline average roughness Ra of the surface of the coating is at most 1.5 &#x3bc;m.

The metal material is fed in its axial direction and heated at a position between the two locations to a temperature range of at least the Acpoint at a heating speed such that the rate of temperature increase is at least 3.0&#xd7;10&#xb0; C. per second, held so that the time for which the surface of the metal material is at a temperature of 8.0&#xd7;10&#xb0; C. or higher is at most 2 seconds, and then rapid cooled. A bending moment is imparted to the healed portion in two or three dimensions to manufacture a bent metal member having on its surface a Zn-based layer which contains an &#x3b7;, phase.

Reactor core

A high conversion nuclear reactor core has fuel assemblies made up from large numbers of axially-extending uranium-plutonium mixed oxide fuel rods. The fuel rods are densely packed so as to give a high conversion ratio of fissile substances, preferably approaching unity. The average plutonium enrichment in the assemblies is higher in their bottom, upstream halves, than in their top downstream halves. This has the effect of reducing a potentially dangerously high void coefficient in the core.
