In a method and an apparatus of providing effective input/output data connections between services, for reducing load on a designer when designing service-based software application, which is described by a process flow language, there are provided the following means or steps: while storing connection histories of input/output data of the service within the software designing made in the past, selection is made arbitrarily on an output(s) of other service, which is/are connectable with all the inputs of the service selected, from selection information of the service becoming the service process flow describing only the processing order and a process target, conducting a process for driving production probability of connection combination of the input and the output from the connection histories, on all of the connection combinations, and outputting the connection combination(s) being high in the production probability extracted among of them.

Service-based software designing assistance method and apparatus thereof

Reliability is evaluated in constructing a component based-on application and an application for realizing reliability required can be constructed efficiently. A run-time history such as an occurrence frequency of errors, a recovery time required at error occurrence, and a processing capacity at preventive maintenance is added per software component to a run-time history list having been recoded per execution environment such as an application ID, combined component IDs, and executed hardware ID. From these pieces of information, an interval of performing preventive maintenance recommended per software component during system construction is calculated. By comparing reliability per software component and reliability required for the system, advisability is determined and conformance is evaluated. An execution schedule for preventive maintenance and a processing capability are calculated about the entire component-based application created by combining the software components. By calculating the reliability and the processing capability in the entire system to be compared to those required for the entire system, advisability is determined and conformance is evaluated.

Component-based application constructing method

To display many objects within a limited display region so a user can easily select the desired object, the invention includes: processing of arranging the objects in a virtual plane, processing of arranging a projection surface (a virtual projection body) on the virtual plane, processing of computing positions of the objects on the projection surface corresponding to the positions of the objects on the virtual plane, processing of converting the positions on the projection surface into positions on display regions of a display device, processing of displaying the objects on the display regions, and processing of operating the objects on the display regions based on instructions from a pointing device.

Program, method and apparatus for operating objects displayed on a display

Light sources are disposed at a plurality of different positions for an object body to be photographed, and a plurality of images corresponding to respective light source positions are photographed, and from the change in the direction or the color on the surface of the object body to be photographed, the parameters to be the coefficient for introducing the direction or the color on the surface of the object body observed from the light source position are measured, and an image can be synthesized for any light source position using the above-mentioned data. Thereby, it is made possible to synthesize an image for any light source position with the data which can be easily available as the images of an object body photographed with a camera and so on, without needing many hands or special tools.
