A high-frequency treatment instrument is provided with an electrode for treatment for performing a high-frequency treatment at a treatment portion. The treatment portion protrudes from an insertion portion having an electrical insulation. The treatment portion protruding from the insertion portion is provided with the electrode for treatment provided with a plurality of electrode portions. The treatment performances of the plurality of electrode portions are different.

According to the present invention, a high-frequency treatment apparatus includes: an electrode assembly electrically connected to the high-frequency generating unit for generating a high-frequency current, the assembly having at the distal end thereof a current-applying electrode for discharging the high-frequency current, the proximal end of the current-applying electrode being covered with a first insulating member; an insertion section receiving the electrode assembly such that the electrode assembly is movable in predetermined directions, the insertion section being located on the return side of the high-frequency current applied from the current-applying electrode; a liquid supply unit for supplying an irrigation liquid to the vicinity of the current-applying electrode; and a second insulating member for covering a predetermined area on the surface of base part of the current-applying electrode, the base part being exposed from the distal end of the first insulating member.

High-frequency treatment apparatus

A high frequency cauterizing power supply unit includes a control circuit for controlling a power supply circuit and waveform generating circuit. The control circuit includes a timer for measuring an output period and pause period, and a counter for measuring the number of times of output. The control circuit detects a setting power and the number of times of output according to the diameter of a blood vessel with a simple method in a short period of time, and controls the output period so as to be shortened, and also controls a setting power and the number of times of output depending on the diameter of the blood vessel.

Electric surgery apparatus for supplying electric power suitable for subject tissue

The present invention provides a high-frequency treatment apparatus including: an electrode assembly electrically connected to a high-frequency generating unit for generating a high-frequency current, the assembly having, at the distal end thereof, a current-applying electrode for discharging the high-frequency current, the proximal end of the current-applying electrode being covered with an insulator; an insertion section receiving the electrode assembly, the insertion section being located on the return side of the high-frequency current discharged from the current-applying electrode; a liquid supply section for supplying an irrigation liquid to the vicinity of the current-applying electrode; and an opening section provided at the distal end part of the insulator, the opening section supplying a gas to the vicinity of the current-applying electrode.

When a user steps on a footswitch, high-frequency output power is delivered. A control circuit included in a diathermic power supply calculates the impedance ZSn that is offered by a living tissue immediately after delivery of high-frequency output power is started during the n-th delivery period. The control circuit also calculates the impedance ZEn that is offered thereby immediately before delivery of high-frequency output power is discontinued with elapse of predetermined time. The control circuit then discontinues delivery of high-frequency output power for the predetermined time, and calculates a difference &#x394;Zn between the impedances. Electric operation apparatus

An electric operation apparatus includes a high-frequency generating device which generates high-frequency current for treating the body anatomy, an active electrode which supplies to the body anatomy, the high-frequency current generated by the high-frequency generating device, a solution supply device which supplies a conductive solution around the active electrode, a return electrode which returns, via the conductive solution supplied by the solution supply device, the high-frequency current supplied to the body anatomy from the active electrode in the conductive solution, a sensor which detects a conductive state of the high-frequency current that flows between the active electrode and the return electrode, and a control device which determines a state of bubbles generated around the active electrode and which changes an operation mode, based on the conductive state of the high-frequency current detected by the sensor.

Electric operation apparatus and control method thereof

In a resectscope apparatus of the present invention, by using an output from a second output transformer, high frequency current passes through a treating electrode when the treating electrode is in contact with a living tissue in a conductive liquid. Then, the high frequency current flows between the treating electrode and a return electrode. Thus, the treating electrode generates heat. Bubbles are formed from the conductive liquid on the peripheral surface of the treating electrode and cover the treating electrode. Interlelectrode resistance increases from a resistance and becomes higher resistance to a substantially insulating state. Then, the voltage increases, and discharging occurs between the treating electrode and the living tissue. By using the high frequency current from the discharging, the living tissue is treated.

An electric operation apparatus including: a high frequency current generating circuit for feeding a high frequency current to electrodes; a direct power supply circuit for supplying variable electric power to the high frequency current generating circuit; a therapeutic condition monitoring circuit for monitoring a therapeutic condition brought about by the high frequency current on the basis of the high frequency current outputted by the high frequency electric current generating circuit; and a supplied power setting circuit for supplying a setting signal for supplied electric power to the power supply circuit on the basis of the monitoring results obtained by the therapeutic condition monitoring circuit.

A treatment electrode of a resectoscope apparatus is substantially semicircular-shaped. A length a of a first segment and a length b of a second segment satisfy a relationship of (a&#x3e;2&#xb7;b). The first segment is in parallel with the plane on which a parallel lead member exists and has the maximum width of the treatment electrode. The second segment is vertical to the first segment and has the maximum distance between an intersection to the first segment and an intersection to the treatment electrode.

Resectoscope apparatus and electric operation apparatus

A resectoscope apparatus includes a high-frequency generating device which generates high-frequency current, a hollow sheath which can be inserted in the celom, a scope which is arranged in the sheath and which can observe the celom, an active electrode which transmits the high-frequency current to the body organ, and a solution supply device which supplies a solution to the hollow sheath. At least one of the sheath and the scope has conductivity. The sheath or the scope having the conductivity is connected to high frequency generating device via a connecting member so as to collect return current.

According to a resectscope apparatus of the present invention, in order to control the output properly by discriminating electric characteristics of perfusion fluids, under control of the control circuit (), a predetermined detection current is fed from the output transformer circuit () by using power, which does not produce an electrical breakdown even in the insulative liquid () or in the air. A predetermined lapse of time until the output is stabilized is waited. The sensor signal processing circuit () A/D converts and measures current values detected by the current sensors () and (). Whether a treating electrode and a return electrode are in a conductive liquid, in an insulative liquid or in the air is determined. Then, the output control processing is performed.

An electrosurgical device for treating a body tissue with a high-frequency power includes an electrode for exposing the body tissue to the high-frequency power for treatment, and a high-frequency cautery power supply having a control circuit that outputs a high-frequency power generator for outputting the high-frequency power to the electrode. The control circuit of the high-frequency cautery power supply includes a timer for measuring output time and suspension time of the high-frequency power applied to the body tissue, a counting unit for counting the number of output of the high-frequency power, an impedance detector for detecting an impedance of the body tissue in the coagulated state thereof when the body tissue is treated using the high-frequency power applied from the electrode, an impedance comparator for comparing the impedance of the coagulated tissue detected by the impedance detector with an impedance predetermined for the purpose of the treatment of a region to be treated, and a high-frequency power switch for switching the output of the high-frequency power generator.

In the electric surgical operation apparatus, contact of a monopolar electrode of a monopolar treatment tool with organic tissue is detected by a voltage or current sensor. Based on a detection signal therefrom, a high-frequency output is supplied at a predetermined value from a high-frequency cautery power source device, and a high-frequency output is supplied at a higher initial setting value than the predetermined value during an initial period at a rising time. Setting of at least one of the initial period and the initial setting value can be changed.
