A method for manufacturing a decorative sheet from a metallic sheet comprises the steps of flame-spraying a coating material onto the surface of a metallic sheet to form a flame-sprayed layer thereon, and roughening the surface of the flame-sprayed layer. The surface of the metallic sheet may be etched in the shape of some pattern to form the flame-sprayed layer, and may be covered with at least one mask having a pattern opening which extends through the mask and has a pattern so as to form the pattern on the surface of the metallic sheet by flame-spraying of the coating material through the pattern opening of the mask.

Method for manufacturing a decorative sheet

A period of time required since the output signal of an acceleration detector for detecting an earthquake exceeds a first set level, until it reaches a second set level greater in value than the first set level, is measured, and a calculation is executed on the basis of the measured value thereby to predict the scale of the earthquake, and a resetting period of time since an elevator is brought to a stoppage operation due to the earthquake, until the stoppage operation is released, is calculated on the basis of the predicted scale of the earthquake. Thus, the period of time till the reset is automatically set is variable according to the scale of the earthquake.

Elevator control apparatus

An elevator hoisting device including a stator forming a primary side of a linear motor disposed on an wall of a hoistway adjacent to its ceiling, a tape-shaped amorphous metallic member for hanging down over a pulley to support at opposite ends thereof an elevator car and a counter weight so as to cause its pendent portion connected to the counter weight to be close to the stator through a non-magnetic member with a low coefficient of friction to form a secondary conductor of the linear motor. The non-magnetic member and therefore the adjacent surface of the stator is somewhat tilted to the vertical downward toward the wall of the hoistway.

Elevator hoisting device

A buffer device for an elevator employs, as a buffer member, a foamed plastic material such as polyurethane foam which undergoes very little permanent deformation upon receipt of an impact. The foamed plastic material is accommodated in a box made of a thin non-combustible material, and a heat-insulating material is disposed between the box and the buffer member in the box.

An elevator drive sheave includes a groove in its peripheral surface. A plurality of circumferentially spaced projected teeth are provided in the groove and a lining extends over these teeth. A stranded elevator rope is received in the groove in contact with the lining. The spacing of the teeth is a multiple of the pitch of the strands of the rope. In case of abnormal lining wear, the rope comes in contact with the teeth to insure continued safe tractive force.

A crime prevention apparatus for controlling the operation of an elevator which comprises a night detector for detecting night, a passenger detector for detecting the presence of only one adult passenger in an elevator cage and a start instructing unit for enabling the operation of the cage only when the passenger and the night detectors are operated, thereby allowing the operation of the cage only when one adult passenger rides in the cage during the night and thereby preventing most crimes from occuring in the cage during the night.

Crime prevention apparatus for elevators

An electric elevator car drive has a sheave having grooves lines with non-metallic linings, and a controller which stops the elevator car when the linings are damaged. The grooves of the sheave have a plurality of metallic projections projecting thereinto which are normally covered by the non-metallic layers but which come into secure engagement with the cable when the layers are damaged. A fault detector detects the damage done to the layers, and, when damage to the layers are detected, the controller stops the elevator car at the nearest floor at which it can be stopped safely without damage to the cables suspending the elevator car.

Electric elevator car driving device

A panel for an elevator used as a car or a door of said elevator comprises a flat front plate; a reinforcing substrate having a waved form which is placed to face one surface of said front plate, wherein central corresponding parts of said reinforcing substrate are bonded to said front plate with a curable binder and peripheral corresponding parts of said reinforcing substrate are fixed through an elastic material to said front plate.

A wire rope is formed by twisting two different metal wires which vary from each other by at least 5% in their acoustic wave propagation velocities. In the longitudinal direction, the two different metal wires are combined in two embodiments: first wires of steel material and wires of stainless steel material, or secondly, wires of a steel material and wires of a beryllium material. In a preferred embodiment, a wire rope is formed by twisting a plurality of strands around a center core and two different metal wires as described above are employed to form the strands.

Wire rope

A wire rope is formed by twisting two different metal wires which vary from each other by at least 50% in their loss factors. The two different metal wires are combined in two embodiments: first, wires of steel material and wires of titanium containing material, or secondly, wires of a steel material and wires of chromium stainless steel material. In a preferred embodiment, a wire rope is formed by twisting a plurality of strands around a center core and two different metal wires as described above are employed to form the strands.

A traction machine of a traction type elevator with a detector operable at occurence of abnormal car traveling. The traction machine includes a painting system to operate at the necessary time to paint the traction surface of a traction sheave of the elevator and at least one of main ropes near the traction sheave with a friction increasing material. It may include a foreign material remover to operate at the necessary time to rub the traction surface of the traction sheave. The painting system and the foreign material remover are driven through the operation of the detector.

Traction machine of elevator

A dynamic damper device includes a damping rod traversing several parallel hoisting ropes for an elevator car adjacent to the car and projecting beyond the outermost ropes. All the ropes are fixed to the damping rod by means of two opposite push plates, and fastening bolts. The rod has one of the projecting end portions longer than the other of the projecting end portions and is provided at the extremity with an additional weight. Thus the device has the center of gravity offset from the mid-point between the outermost ropes.
