A saccharification reaction mixture can saccharify at least one of cellulose and hemicellulose and contains at least one of cellulose and hemicellulose, a saccharification enzyme, silica or a silica-containing substance, and at least one compound (A) selected from the group consisting of a polyhydric alcohol compound represented by the following formula (1) or a derivative thereof and an acetylene glycol represented by formula (2) or an alkylene oxide adduct thereof.

A method for producing a gas separation membrane containing fine particles uniformly dispersed in a resin, including the following (A) and (B): (A) a step of mixing the fine particles with a matrix resin, the amount of the fine particles with respect to the entire mass of the mixture being adjusted to 1 mass % to 50 mass %, to thereby prepare a master batch; and (B) a step including dissolving the master batch in a solvent, applying the prepared solution onto a substrate, and evaporating the solvent.

A saccharification reaction mixture, a saccharification enzyme composition, and a saccharide production method are aimed to enhance saccharization rate by use of an enzyme in a simple step as well as a method for producing ethanol from a saccharide.
