The invention provides a gas barrier film with low deterioration in the gas barrier property before and after high-temperature hot water treatment. The gas barrier film has a gas barrier coating film, formed as a composite film comprising a network structure having a mesh structure with Si&#x2014;O&#x2014;Si bonds as the basic lattice and a water-soluble polymer crystallized as microcrystals, incorporated into the mesh of the network structure, wherein a barrier coating agent, obtained by mixing a condensate solution of an alkoxysilane hydrolysate prepared as a mixed solution in which the proportion of bonded states of the silicon atoms of the condensate with Q1 and Q2 structures is at least 60% of the total silicon atoms, with a crystalline water-soluble polymer, is coated on a base material film, either after forming or without forming an aluminum oxide vapor deposition film, to form a coating layer.

The object of the present invention is achieved by providing a copolymer, in particular, a block copolymer which has excellent coating formation ability, adhesive properties to a substrate, and does not adsorb protein; an antithrombotic coating agent which has superior antithrombotic properties and adhesive properties to a substrate to those of the conventional antithrombotic coating agent; and a medical instrument which is obtained by coating the antithrombotic coating agent, and the block copolymer includes a polymer (A) containing a (meth)acrylic ester monomer and a polymer (B) containing a (meth)acrylamide monomer and has excellent coating formation ability and high adhesive properties to a substrate.

The problem to be solved is to provide a nondrying polymer hydrogel, which is not dried under atmospheric conditions and has excellent mechanical properties, and a method for producing the nondrying polymer hydrogel. A nondrying polymer hydrogel having both excellent nondrying properties and mechanical properties (e.g., excellent elongation properties, compression properties, and surface adhesiveness) can be produced by using a nondrying polymer hydrogel including a deliquescent substance in such a manner that the water vapor pressure shown by the polymer hydrogel is equal to or lower than the water vapor partial pressure in the atmosphere, in particular, by allowing a deliquescent substance to be contained at a high concentration in a polymer hydrogel having a network structure formed by a polymer of a water-soluble radically-polymerizable organic monomer having a specific chemical composition and a delaminated water-swellable clay mineral.

Nondrying polymer hydrogel

Disclosed are: an organic-inorganic complex dispersion improved in film formability and adhesion to a base material. The organic-inorganic complex dispersion comprises an aqueous medium and particles of a complex dispersed in the aqueous medium, wherein the complex has a three-dimensional network structure formed by a polymer of a monomer comprising a monomer represented by general formula (1) and at least one inorganic material selected from a water-swellable clay mineral and silica. The present invention provides a production process of an organic/inorganic composite hydrogel, which demonstrates superior mechanical properties, by uniformly dispersing a clay mineral in an organic polymer over a wide range of clay mineral content, and a dried form thereof, to be produced easily in a short period of time. The production process of an organic/inorganic composite hydrogel of the present invention comprises reacting a water-soluble organic monomer (a) in the presence of a water-swellable clay mineral (b) by irradiating with an energy beam in a solution in which a non-water-soluble polymerization initiator (d) is dispersed in an aqueous medium (c).

The invention relates to (1) a curable epoxy resin composition comprising (A) a non-gel type amine-modified epoxy resin which is obtained by reacting an epoxy resin with a polyamine and (B) at least one of boric acid and boric ester, (2) a powder form of the curable epoxy resin composition and a process for its production, and (3) a process for production of heat-resistant laminated sheets by using the curable epoxy resin composition.
