When a first condition is satisfied, a controlling unit selects a first mode in which communication between a C-BBU and a mobile communication terminal is intermediated. When a second condition is satisfied, the controlling unit selects a second mode in which communication between another wireless communication apparatus and the mobile communication terminal is intermediated. In the first mode, an RRH unit receives a wireless signal from the mobile communication terminal, converts the wireless signal into a baseband signal, and transmits the baseband signal to the C-BBU, and receives a baseband signal from the C-BBU, converts the baseband signal into a wireless signal, and transmits the wireless signal to the mobile communication terminal. In the second mode, a repeater unit transfers a signal output from said another wireless communication apparatus to the mobile communication terminal, and transfers a signal output from the mobile communication terminal to said another wireless communication apparatus.

Wireless communication apparatus, base station system, and wireless communication apparatus controlling method

An RRH includes a power supply device, an AISG interface, a PA, and a control unit. The PA is operated by a power source with a first voltage or a second voltage that is lower than the first voltage and amplifies a transmission signal. The AISG interface is connected to an antenna control device operated by the power source with the second voltage. The power supply device supplies the power source to the PA and the power source to the antenna control device to the AISG interface. When the antenna control device is operated, the control unit controls such that the power supply device generates the power source with the second voltage, supplies the generated power source to the PA and the antenna control device, and increase power of the transmission signal output from the PA that is operated by the power source with the second voltage.

Remote radio equipment

A radio frequency repeater equipment in a radio communication system is disclosed. An indoor space exists under a radio base station of the radio communication system, and a mobile terminal in the indoor space performs radio communications with the radio base station via the radio frequency repeater equipment, the radio frequency repeater equipment includes: a first antenna for receiving a DOWN LINK signal from the radio base station; a first attenuator for attenuating an output of the first antenna; a second antenna for outputting an output of the first attenuator, and for receiving a signal from the mobile terminal; and a second attenuator for attenuating an output of the second antenna.
