A starting device includes a pump impeller, a turbine runner for rotating together with the pump impeller, a damper mechanism having an input element receiving power from an internal combustion engine, an output element coupled to a speed change device, an intermediate element between the input and output elements, and a dynamic damper for damping vibration at a predetermined frequency among vibration transferred to the speed change device. The starting device includes a first dynamic damper having an elastic member and a first mass body coupled the first elastic member, and coupled to the intermediate element; and a second dynamic damper having an elastic member and a second mass body connected to the second elastic member, and coupled to the intermediate element. The first mass body of the first dynamic damper or the second mass body of the second dynamic damper includes at least the turbine runner.

Starting device

A centrifugal pendulum-type vibration absorbing device that includes a support that rotates together with any one of the rotary elements of the damper; and a mass that is supported by the support so as to oscillate freely, wherein the centrifugal pendulum-type vibration absorbing device is designed to have an effective order that is greater by at least a correction amount associated with the hysteresis of the damper than an order of vibration that is generated in the driving device to be damped.

Centrifugal pendulum-type vibration absorbing device and designing method for the same

A starting device where the lock-up clutch is a single-plate clutch including a piston having a friction material that is in frictional engagement with the input member; and the piston and the input element of the damper mechanism are coupled to each other on a radially inner side of the plurality of pendulum mass bodies so as to rotate together.

In a starting device including a centrifugal-pendulum vibration absorbing device, while lock-up is released, a flow of working oil directed from a lock-up piston side toward a damper mechanism is produced in a clutch engagement chamber. A thrust force in the axial direction directed from the lock-up piston toward the damper mechanism is applied to a weight, of a mass body of the centrifugal-pendulum vibration absorbing device, disposed on the lock-up piston side. A support member of the centrifugal-pendulum vibration absorbing device is provided with weight support protrusions that project in the axial direction of an input shaft of a speed change device toward the weight disposed on the lock-up piston side.

A starting apparatus including an input member coupled to a motor; a damper mechanism having an input element, an elastic body and an output element; a lock-up clutch mechanism for performing lockup where the input member is coupled to an input shaft of a transmission via the damper mechanism and for canceling lockup, and a dynamic damper including an elastic body and a mass body engaged with the elastic body. The mass body of the dynamic damper is an elastic body support member that is supported rotatably around an axis of the starting apparatus and that supports the elastic body of the damper mechanism. With this arrangement, the dynamic damper is easily adjustable while reducing the overall size of the starting apparatus.

Starting apparatus

A centrifugal-pendulum vibration absorbing device, including a member attached coaxially with a rotary element; and mass bodies swingably coupled to the support member and disposed adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction. The mass bodies are configured such that when a first mass body, which is one of two mass bodies disposed adjacent to each other, and a second mass body, which is the other of the two mass bodies, move with respect to the support member so as to approach each other, the first mass body and the second mass body overlap each other as seen from an axial direction of the rotary element.

Centrifugal-pendulum vibration absorbing device

A compact fluid transmission apparatus that is able to effectively damp vibrations transmitted to an input member with a dynamic damper and a centrifugal pendulum vibration absorber. The apparatus includes a pump impeller that is connected to an input member coupled to a motor, and a turbine runner that is rotatable together with the pump impeller. The elastic body of the damper mechanism and the elastic body of the dynamic damper overlap each other with respect to an axial direction of the fluid transmission apparatus when viewed in a radial direction of the fluid transmission apparatus, and are arranged between the turbine runner and the centrifugal pendulum vibration absorber when viewed in the radial direction.

Fluid transmission apparatus

A fluid transmission apparatus including a pump impeller that is connected to an input member coupled to a motor; a turbine runner that is rotatable together with the pump impeller; a damper mechanism that includes an input element, an intermediate element engaged with the input element via a first elastic body and an output element engaged with the intermediate element via a second elastic body; a lock-up clutch mechanism; a dynamic damper that includes a mass body and a third elastic body engaged with the mass body; and a centrifugal pendulum vibration absorber that includes a support member and a plurality of mass bodies each oscillatable with respect to the support member. The third elastic body of the dynamic damper is engaged with one of the intermediate element and the output element. The centrifugal pendulum vibration absorber's support member is connected to the intermediate element or the output element.

In a damper apparatus, power is transferred, in order, from a motor, to an input, to a first elastic body, to a first element, to a second elastic body, to a second element, to a third elastic body, and to an output. The first and second elastic bodies are disposed radially outward of the third elastic body, and adjacent to each other on a single circumference. The first element has an annular outer peripheral portion that surrounds the first and second elastic bodies, and a pair of contact portions that are formed on peripheral edges on respective sides of the outer peripheral portion to protrude from the peripheral edges radially inward and to face each other, and that are between and in contact with the first elastic body and the second elastic body.

Damper apparatus

A damper device including an input element to which power from a motor is transmitted; a first elastic body to which the power is transmitted from the input element; a first intermediate element to which the power is transmitted from the first elastic body; a second elastic body to which the power is transmitted from the first intermediate element; a second intermediate element to which the power is transmitted from the second elastic body, a third elastic body to which the power is transmitted from the second intermediate element; and an output element to which the power is transmitted from the third elastic body. The second elastic body is lighter than the first elastic body.
