A light source device includes light sources, a light output unit, optical filters, temperature sensors detecting current temperatures of the sources, light quantity sensors detecting current light quantities of light beams before traveling through the filters, a storage, and a processor. The storage stores first correlation information between the temperatures of the sources and spectral information and second correlation information between the spectral information and light quantity of light at the unit. The processor is configured to calculate a variation in the spectral information based on each current temperature and the first information, calculate a variation in the light quantity of the light at the unit caused by a change in the spectral information based on the variation in the spectral information and the second information, and calculate a light-quantity correction amount for each of the sources based on the variation in the light quantity and the current light quantity.

Light source device, observation system, and color-balance correction method

An endoscope light-source device includes a semiconductor laser light source, a first lens group that diverges a low-NA light component of light from the semiconductor laser light source and converges or collimates a high-NA light component of the light from the semiconductor laser light source, and a second lens group that focuses the light passing through the first lens group onto an end surface of a light guide. The first lens group includes at least one aspherical lens.

An endoscope light source device includes: a plurality of solid-state light sources; a plurality of collimating lenses that respectively collimate light beams emitted from the plurality of solid-state light sources into substantially parallel light beams; a multiplexing optical member that multiplexes the light beams that have been collimated into substantially parallel light beams by the plurality of collimating lenses; at least one diaphragm disposed between at least one of the plurality of solid-state light sources and a corresponding at least one of the plurality of collimating lenses; and a focusing lens that focuses multiplexed light beams from the plurality of solid-state light sources and causes the light beams to enter an end surface of a light guide of an endoscope, wherein the at least one diaphragm blocks more peripheral light as an optical path length from each of the plurality of solid-state light sources to the focusing lens becomes smaller.

Endoscope light source device

Provided is an endoscope light source apparatus including: first and second solid-state light sources that emit first and second light beams, respectively; a third solid-state light source that emits a third light beam that generates white light by being combined with the first and second light beams; an optical member that combines the first, second, and third light beams to generate a combined light; an optical filter that is provided so as to be insertable into/retractable from an optical path of the combined light; and a controller, wherein, in a first excitation-light illumination mode, the controller turns on the first and second solid-state light sources and weakly turns on the third solid-state light source, and, in a second excitation-light illumination mode, turns on the first solid-state light source, turns off the second solid-state light source, and weakly turns on the third solid-state light source.
