A lighting device to be mounted on a vehicle has a light source, a projection lens having an optical axis, and disposed so as to allow at least some of light emitted from the light source to pass therethrough, a holder that holds the projection lens, a pivot shaft provided at one of the projection lens and the holder and extending in a direction intersecting with the optical axis of the projection lens, a bearing provided at the other of the projection lens and the holder and that holds the pivot shaft, an aiming mechanism configured to pivot the projection lens relative to the holder about the pivot shaft, and a reflector configured to reflect the light emitted from the light source in a predetermined direction. The reflector is provided in the holder. The position of the holder to the light source is fixed.

Lighting device for vehicle

A high mount stop lamp mounted on a rear portion of a roof of an automobile is provided. The high mount stop lamp includes a flat light guide arranged below a resin roof panel. The light guide includes a front end and a rear end. The high mount stop lamp also includes a light source opposing the front end of the light guide. The rear end of the light guide is located on or proximate to a rear end of the roof panel to function as a light emitting portion.

The lens unit moves in an extension direction of the reference axis in accordance with rotation of a second screw. A housing defines at least a part of a lamp chamber therein, and includes an opening; a light source disposed in the lamp chamber. An optical unit is disposed in the lamp chamber, and irradiates light emitted from the lamp source in a predetermined direction. A heat sink includes a first portion configured to support the light source in the lamp chamber, and a second portion exposed to an outside of the housing through the opening. An elastic member is disposed between the second portion and a periphery of the opening. A first screw member and a second screw member extend through the housing, and are manually rotated to displace both the heat sink and the optical unit with respect to the housing. An electric actuator is disposed in the lamp chamber, and displaces the optical unit with respect to the heat sink.

An occupation space of a lamp including a mechanism for adjusting a reference position of an optical axis is reduced. The optical axis adjustment mechanismadjusts a reference position of an optical axis of a projection lens through which at least some of the light emitted from the light sourcepasses. The optical axis adjustment mechanismincludes an actuator, an aiming screwand a slider. The actuatorincludes an electrically driven output shaftwhich pivots the optical axis in a horizontal direction about a rotation axis B extending in a vertical direction. The slideris disposed to be slidable along the rotation axis B. The aiming screwslides the slideraccording to its rotation so as to translate the optical axis in the vertical direction.

Vehicular lamp

There is provided a lighting device which is to be mounted on a vehicle. The lighting device includes: a housing forming a lamp chamber, the housing including a wall having an opening therethrough; a light source which is disposed in the lamp chamber; a heat sink, wherein the light source is fixed to the heat sink; a fixation portion, wherein the heat sink is fixed to the housing via the fixation portion. A first portion of the heat sink faces an inner surface of the wall. A second portion of the heat sink is exposed to an outside of the wall through the opening. The fixation portion is provided on the outside of the wall to face the opening.

Vehicle lighting device

A vehicular headlamp includes: a bracket having an actuator attaching portion that has a first fixation portion and a second fixation portion and part of which is a cuttable portion; a first actuator that is attached to the actuator attaching portion from one direction and is fixed via the first fixation portion; and a lamp unit that is supported by the bracket and that is capable of being tilted relative to the bracket by drive force of the first actuator. The actuator attaching portion is configured so that the cuttable portion can be cut off to detach the first actuator from the bracket in another direction than the one direction and a second actuator can be attached to the actuator attaching portion from the another direction and fixed to the actuator attaching portion via the second fixture portion.

Vehicular headlamp and replacement method for leveling actuator of the vehicular headlamp

Disclosed is a vehicle lamp capable of improving a production efficiency, reducing a cost, and shortening a production line as compared to a case in which a dedicated mechanical equipment is used. The vehicle lamp includes an optical unit, a pivot member fixed to a bracket of the optical unit, a lamp body having a bearing insertion hole, and a bearing member which is fixed to the lamp body to be engageable with the pivot member. The pivot member and the bearing member are engaged with each other to constitute at least one supporting unit of an aiming mechanism. In addition, the optical unit is tiltably supported by the aiming mechanism and the bearing member is fixed to the lamp body by being inserted into the bearing insertion hole.

Vehicle lamp

There is provided a vehicle headlight. The vehicle headlight includes: a light source configured to emit light; a reflector reflecting the light; a projection lens projecting the light; a stationary shade blocking a part of the light emitted from the light source; a movable shade supported by the stationary shade as to move between a shielding position and a non-shielding position and configured to block a part of the light emitted from the light source; a drive mechanism including: a yoke; a coil disposed in the yoke; and an output shaft configured to move in an axial direction thereof in response to current supplied to the coil, and a transmission mechanism transmitting a driving force of the drive mechanism to the movable shade. At least a part of the yoke of the drive mechanism is formed in a single piece with the stationary shade.

Vehicle headlight

A vehicle headlamp includes: a lamp outer casing; a lamp unit including: a light source unit having a light source that emits light, a reflector and a heat sink; a stationary frame; a movable frame that is supported by the stationary frame to be rotatable about a rotating shaft; a lens unit supported by the movable frame and having a projection lens; a first aiming operation shaft that adjusts an optical axis in the lateral direction; and a second aiming operation shaft that adjusts the optical axis in the vertical direction. A focal point of the light reflected by the reflector is coincident with a center of the rotating shaft. The lens unit is moved relative to the stationary frame such that a distance between the focal point and the projection lens is constant. The heat sink is positioned on the outside of the lamp outer casing.

Vehicle headlamp

A vehicle headlamp is provided with: a frame; a lamp unit, which includes a first and a second connection sections and, which is rotatable with respect to the frame; a slider connected to first connection section and which is supported on the frame so as to be movable in a front-rear direction; a rotor connected to the second connection section and which is supported on the frame so as to be turnable in a horizontal direction; a drive operation section for moving the slider in the front-rear direction; and a rotation operation section for turning the rotor in the horizontal direction. The first connection section and the second connection section are positioned so as to be separated from each other substantially in the up-down direction.

A vehicle lamp is arranged to switch between a low beam and a high beam. The high beam illuminates a first illumination area, which lies ahead of and square to a center of a vehicle, and a second illumination area, which includes portions lying horizontally further leftwards and right wards and vertically further upwards than the first illumination area. When switching from the low beam to the high beam, the luminous intensity of the second illumination area is increased and thereafter the luminous intensity of the first illumination area is increased. When switching from the high beam to the low beam, the luminance intensity of the first illumination area is decreased and thereafter the luminance intensity of the second illumination area is decreased.

A vehicular headlamp includes a first semiconductor light-emitting element for emitting visible light, a reflector having an optical center in the vicinity of the first semiconductor light-emitting element and forming at least a part of a light distribution pattern of the vehicular headlamp, and a second semiconductor light-emitting element, for emitting infrared light, which is disposed at a position different from that of the first semiconductor light-emitting element, and which emits infrared light to be reflected by the reflector.
