A vehicular lamp including a lamp body having a front opening, a reflector disposed at an inner-rear surface of the lamp body, a light source mounted at the central part of the lamp body for emitting a light beam, and an outer lens covering the front opening of the lamp body. The outer lens includes linearly extending steps such as concave or convex cylindrical lens and retroreflection steps. The linearly extending steps and the retroreflection steps are alternatingly arrayed.

Disclosed herein is a headlight of double beam type, which comprises a lamp body having one end closed and the other end open; means defining in a given part of the closed end of the lamp body an aperture; a lens covering the open end of the lamp body; an upper beam projecting unit including a first concave light reflective integrally formed on a part of an inner surface of the closed end of the lamp body, and a first light source installed at a center portion of the first concave light reflector; and a lower beam projecting unit including a condensing lens installed in the lamp body at a position facing the aperture, a second concave light reflector detachably connected to the outside of the lamp body in a manner to face the aperture, and a second light source installed at a center portion of the second concave light reflector.

Headlight of motor vehicle

A snap-on connector is provided for readily mounting and dismounting a light bulb of the kind having a flange on its base, to and from a lamp housing in a vehicular headlamp assembly or similar lighting devices. The lamp housing has a mounting tube extending rearwardly therefrom and terminating in a bulb entrance end. Mounted on the bulb entrance end of the mounting tube in locking engagement therewith, the snap-on connector of substantially annular or tubular shape has a set of retainer lips extending radially inwardly from its end away from the lamp housing. Each retainer lip defines a space for receiving a lug on the flange of the light bulb between itself and the bulb entrance end of the mounting tube. The lugs can be slid into these spaces and locked in position by first inserting the light bulb in the bulb entrance end of the mounting tube via the snap-on connector and then by turning the light bulb in a prescribed direction relative to the mounting tube.

A headlight mounting device for mounting a headlight of a body of a vehicle such as an automobile and includes between the vehicle body and the headlight a stationary pivot means and two movable pivot means with each pivot means pivotally supports the headlight with respect to the vehicle body, and one of the movable pivot means being movable in the vertical directions and the other movable pivot means being movable in the horizontal directions. The stationary pivot means and the two movable pivot means are arranged generally in a common plane.
