A plate heat exchanger includes heat transfer plates having openings at four corners thereof, having outer wall portions at their edges, and stacked together. The heat transfer plates are partially brazed together such that a first flow passage for first fluid and a second flow passage for second fluid are alternately arranged, with a heat transfer plate interposed between these flow passages, the openings communicating with each other, forming a first header allowing the first fluid to flow into and out of the first flow passage and a second header allowing the second fluid to flow into and out of the second flow passage. One heat transfer plate located between the first or second flow passage is formed by stacking two metal plates. Space between the metal plates includes a fine flow passage located within a heat exchange region, and a peripheral leakage passage outward of the fine flow passage.

A plate heat exchanger includes a plurality of heat transfer plates stacked together and each having openings at four corners thereof. The heat transfer plates are partially brazed together such that a first flow passage through which first fluid flows and a second flow passage through which second fluid flows are alternately arranged with one of the heat transfer plates disposed therebetween, openings at the four corners being connected forming first headers through which the first fluid enters and is discharged and second headers through which the second fluid enters and is discharged. At least one of two heat transfer plates between which the first flow passage or the second flow passage is disposed is formed by a pair of metal plates stacked together. The metal plate adjacent to the second flow passage is thinner than the metal plate adjacent to the first flow passage.

A plate heat exchanger includes heat transfer plates each of which has openings at four corners thereof, and which are stacked together. The heat transfer plates are partially brazed together such that a first flow passage through which first fluid flows and a second flow passage through which second fluid flows are alternately arranged, with an associated heat transfer plate interposed between the first and second flow passages. The openings at each of the four corners communicate with each other, thereby forming a first header and a second header, the first header allowing the first fluid to flow into and flow out of the first flow passage, the second header allowing the second fluid to flow into and flow out of the second flow passage.

Plate heat exchanger and heat pump device including the same

An air-conditioning apparatus includes an outdoor unit, a heat medium relay unit, and an indoor unit. The outdoor unit is installed in an outdoor space, which is a space outside a building including an air-conditioned space. The heat medium relay unit is installed in the outdoor space, and includes a housing that accommodates an intermediate heat exchanger. The indoor unit includes a load heat exchanger configured to exchange heat between air and a heat medium. The housing is installed to the outer wall of the building.

Air-conditioning apparatus

A heat-pump using apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit and a heat medium circuit. The refrigerant circuit is capable of executing a heating operation and a cooling operation. A first expansion device is provided downstream of a reservoir, and a second expansion device is provided upstream of the reservoir, in the flow of refrigerant in the heating operation. A main circuit of the heat medium circuit includes a branching part and a joining part. An overpressure protection device is connected to a connection part which is located between a load-side heat exchanger and one of the branching part and the joining part or at the load-side heat exchanger. A refrigerant leakage detecting device is connected to the other of the branching part and the joining part, or between the other of the branching part and the joining part and the connection part, or to the connection part.

Heat-pump using apparatus

An apparatus using a heat pump includes a refrigerant circuit and a heat medium circuit. The refrigerant circuit is capable of performing a first operation, in which a load-side heat exchanger is used as a condenser, and a second operation, in which the load-side heat exchanger is used as an evaporator. A main circuit of the heat medium circuit has a branching part and a joining part. An overpressure protection device and a refrigerant leakage detecting device are connected to the main circuit. The overpressure protection device is connected to a connection part located between the load-side heat exchanger and one of the branching part and the joining part, or at the load-side heat exchanger. When leakage of refrigerant is detected, the state of a refrigerant flow switching device is set to a second state, an expansion device is set to a closed state, and a compressor is operated.

Apparatus using a heat pump including a refrigerant leakage detector

A heat pump apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit and a heat medium circuit. The refrigerant circuit performs a first operation using a load-side heat exchanger as a condenser, and a second operation using the load-side heat exchanger as an evaporator. A suction pipe provided between a refrigerant flow switching valve and a compressor has a container. To the heat medium circuit, an overpressure protection relief valve and a refrigerant leakage detector are connected. When leakage of refrigerant into the heat medium circuit is detected, the refrigerant flow switching valve is switched to a second state, an expansion device is set to a closed state, and the compressor is operated. When a requirement for ending the operation of the compressor is satisfied after the leakage is detected, the compressor is stopped, and the refrigerant flow switching valve is switched to a first state.

Heat pump with hot water storage and refrigerant leak detection

Provided is an indoor unit for a heat pump use apparatus, the indoor unit being a part of the heat pump use apparatus including a refrigerant circuit configured to circulate refrigerant, a heat medium circuit configured to allow a heat medium to flow through the heat medium circuit, and a heat exchanger configured to exchange heat between the refrigerant and the heat medium. The indoor unit is connectable to an outdoor unit accommodating the refrigerant circuit and the heat exchanger. The indoor unit accommodates a part of the heat medium circuit. The indoor unit includes a pressure protection device connected to the heat medium circuit, and an on-off device provided to be interposed between the heat medium circuit and the pressure protection device.

Indoor unit for heat pump use apparatus and heat pump use apparatus including the same

A hot water supply system that can reduce energy consumption is provided. The hot water supply system includes a liquid heater for heating a liquid, a liquid-water heat exchanger, a water-heating circuit in which the liquid is circulated between the liquid heater and the liquid-water heat exchanger, a lower outward path for leading water from a lower part of a hot water storage tank to the liquid-water heat exchanger, the upper return path for leading the water from the liquid-water heat exchanger to an upper part of the hot water storage tank, a middle outward path for leading the water from a middle part of the hot water storage tank to the liquid-water heat exchanger, a middle return path for leading the water from the liquid-water heat exchanger to a middle part of the hot water storage tank.

Heating and hot water supply system

When hot water supply and room heating are requested simultaneously, a hot water supply operation, by which energy saving is achieved without impairing the comfortability in a room, is performed. A heat-pump apparatus of a variable operation capacity type, a primary water circuit, a hot water tank, a room heater, and a controller are provided. The controller sets a hot water supply operation completion target time in the case of a requests for a simultaneous hot water supply and room heating operation, based on a temperature difference between the outdoor air temperature and the indoor temperature, and determines the rotation speed of the compressor in the hot water supply operation completion target time set.
