The power storage device includes a first circuit portion, a second circuit portion, a third circuit portion, and a secondary battery; the first circuit portion has a function of controlling charging of the secondary battery; the first circuit portion has a function of supplying the start time and the end time of the charging of the secondary battery to the third circuit portion; the second circuit portion has functions of generating a first voltage and a first current and supplying them to the third circuit portion; the third circuit portion has a function of generating a second voltage by charging the first current in a capacitor; and the third circuit portion has a function of comparing the first voltage and the second voltage.

Power storage device and method for operating power storage device

A solid-state secondary battery with high safety is provided. The solid-state secondary battery includes a first film that has a function of releasing and accumulating a lithium ion and is over a negative electrode current collector layer, a second film that has a function of transporting a lithium ion and is over the first film, a third film that has a function of releasing and accumulating a lithium ion and is over the second film, and a positive electrode current collector layer over the third film. The total thickness of the first to third films is the same before and after charging.

The exterior body includes a metal layer and a polymer layer stacked over the metal layer. The polymer layer includes a region in contact with the electrolyte solution.

An all-solid-state secondary battery having a higher level of safety than a conventional lithium-ion secondary battery using an electrolyte solution, specifically, a thin-film-type solid-state secondary battery, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. As a solid electrolyte, a mixed material obtained by co-evaporation of SiO and an organic complex of lithium is used. That is, a solid electrolyte layer formed using a mixed material of an inorganic material and an organic material is used in a solid-state secondary battery. The ratio of oxygen to silicon in the solid electrolyte layer is higher than 1 and lower than 2.

Disclosed is a power storage element including a positive electrode current collector layer and a negative electrode current collector layer which are arranged on the same plane and can be formed through a simple process. The power storage element further includes a positive electrode active material layer on the positive electrode current collector layer; a negative electrode active material layer on the negative electrode current collector layer; and a solid electrolyte layer in contact with at least the positive electrode active material layer and the negative electrode active material layer. The positive electrode active material layer and the negative electrode active material layer are formed by oxidation treatment.

Provided is an electrode including a current collector and an active material layer. The active material layer includes an active material, a film including silicone, a conductive additive, and a binder. The active material is in the form of a particle.
