A power converting apparatus includes a switching element, a filter substrate, a housing, a main body, an air duct, and a filter switch. The switching element is configured to convert and output power. The filter substrate includes a filter circuit configured to reduce transmission of noise generated in the switching element to an input power source. The housing includes a housing base having a first surface and a second surface. The main body is on the first surface of the housing base, and includes the filter substrate and a plurality of electronic components. The air duct is disposed on the second surface of the housing base, and cooling air flows through the air duct. The filter switch is on the first surface of the housing base. The filter switch is configured to switch between making and breaking electrical conduction between the filter circuit and the housing.

Power converting apparatus and filter switch

A matrix converter includes first to third AC reactors connected in series with first- to third-phase outputs of three-phase AC electric power, and a first cooling fan that generates cool air for cooling the first to third AC reactors. The first to third AC reactors are arranged side-by-side in a direction intersecting a direction in which the cool air flows.

A power converting apparatus includes a housing, a cable, and a grommet supporting member. The housing includes a housing base, a main body, and an air duct. The housing base has a first surface and a second surface and includes a through hole. The main body includes a plurality of electronic components on the first surface of the housing base. The air duct is disposed on the second surface of the housing base, and cooling air flows through the air duct. The cable is disposed through the through hole of the housing base so as to be wired between the main body and the air duct. The grommet supporting member is in the air duct or the main body. The grommet supporting member supports a grommet through which the cable is disposed. The grommet supporting member is not integral with the housing base.

A power converting apparatus includes a housing, a cylindrical capacitor, and a cylindrical capacitor cover. The housing includes a housing base, a main body, and an air duct. The main body includes a plurality of electronic components on a first surface of the housing base. The air duct is disposed on a second surface of the housing base. The capacitor penetrates through the housing base so that a part of the capacitor is disposed in the main body while a rest part of the capacitor is disposed in the air duct. The capacitor cover is disposed on the housing base and covers the rest part of the capacitor. The capacitor cover includes an elastic material and an inner surface. The capacitor cover includes a groove disposed on the inner surface in an axial direction of the capacitor cover.

Power converting apparatus and capacitor cover thereof

A power converting apparatus includes a housing base, a main body, an air duct, a pair of upright air duct walls, first and second heat generators, and a protrusion. The housing base has first and second surfaces. The main body is on the first surface. The air duct is for cooling air to flow through the air duct and is on the second surface. The upright air duct walls are on the second surface and extend from an upwind side to a downwind side. The first and second heat generators are disposed in series from the upwind side to the downwind side in the air duct. The protrusion is between the first and second heat generators to protrude from at least one of the pair of air duct walls toward a center portion of an air-flowing space for the cooling air.

An electronic device includes a main body having an air inlet port and an air outlet port, an air channel having an air inlet port and an air outlet port and is arranged such that the air channel and the main body oppose each other, a boundary base disposed between the main body and the air channel, a heat sink mounted on the boundary base such that a fin thereof protrudes into the air channel, a power converter tightly mounted on an upper surface of a base of the heat sink so as to be positioned in the main body, cooling fans disposed near the air outlet port of the main body and the air outlet port of the air channel, and a first reactor disposed on a windward side of the heat sink in the air channel.

Electronic device

A power converting apparatus includes a housing, a self-standing cable, and a grommet securing member. The housing includes a housing base, a main body, and an air duct. The housing base includes a through hole. The main body includes a plurality of electronic components on a first surface of the housing base. The air duct is disposed on a second surface of the housing base. The self-standing cable is disposed through the through hole so as to be wired between the main body and the air duct. The self-standing cable stands on itself in a direction approximately orthogonal to the housing base. The grommet securing member is disposed in the air duct or the main body so as to secure a grommet to the through hole. The grommet securing member is not integral with the housing base.

Power converting apparatus and reactor

A fan unit holds a cooling fan and is detachable from a main body of an inverter apparatus. The fan unit is provided with a fan-unit retainer plate having keyhole-shaped apertures and provided between an upper case and a lower case. The fan unit is fixed by pressing the fan-unit retainer plate with fixing screws. The fan unit is easily and reliably removed by moving the fan-unit retainer plate without directly moving the fan unit and without removing the fixing screws.
