A pulse radar apparatus and a control method therefor are provided that can detect information about a target with a high degree of accuracy by allowing detection of target information at all times and updating a replica signal of a noise signal in order. When the number of sets of distance data n1 is determined to be more than the number of sets of all distance data Nr in step S, it is determined that target information detection processing is finished, and replica signal generation processing is subsequently performed. An offset noise from the variable gain amplifieris prepared together with interference noise and self-mixing noise in advance as a replica signal of unwanted wave and the replica signal is removed from a baseband signal in detecting the object T.

Pulse radar apparatus and control method thereof

A ranging and communication multifunction system including a transmission unit and a receiving unit, and integrates two functions of ranging and communication in which the transmission unit includes a transmission circuit, a carrier wave modification device, and a transmission antenna. The receiving unit includes a receiving circuit, a wave detector, a low noise amplifier, and a receiving antenna, and a data modulation performed in the transmission circuit uses a PPM system. Thus, the receiving circuit provides a ranging circuit and a communication separately, so that the demodulation processing of ranging and communication can be performed in parallel.
