In an electrophotographic photosensitive member having a support, a conductive layer formed on the support, an intermediate layer formed on the conductive layer, and a photosensitive layer formed on the intermediate layer, the conductive layer has been formed by using a conductive layer coating fluid which contains TiOparticles coated with oxygen deficient SnOhaving an average particle diameter of from 0.20 &#x3bc;m or more to 0.60 &#x3bc;m or less, and has a volume resistivity of from more than 8.0&#xd7;10&#x3a9;cm to 1.0&#xd7;10&#x3a9;cm or less. The electrophotographic photosensitive member can keep charging lines from occurring.

An electrophotographic apparatus adopts a contact development system as a development system, which hardly causes toner fusion, and which hardly causes fogging in an output image; and a process cartridge is detachably attached to a main body of the electrophotographic apparatus. An electrophotographic photosensitive member is constituted by disposing a protective layer and a photosensitive layer on an electroconductive support in this order. The protective layer is characterized by containing an electroconductive particles, fluorine-containing resin particles and a binder resin. The present invention provides an electrophotographic photosensitive member wherein a maximum height (RmaxD) of a surface roughness of a support portion is 1.2 &mgr;m RmaxD&lE;5.0 &mgr;m, an average roughness (Rz) of 10 points is 1.2 &mgr;m&lE;Rz&lE;3.0 m, an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) is 0.15 &mgr;m&lE;Ra&lE;0.5 &mgr;m, and an irregularity average interval (Sm) is 30 &mgr;m&lE;Sm&lE;80 &mgr;m. The photosensitive member's charge generation layer contains a phthalocyanine compound, its charge transport layer has a thickness which is at least 9 &mgr;m but not larger than 18 &mgr;m, the electrophotographic photosensitive member in every 1 cm area has an electrostatic capacity (C) of 130 pF or more. This invention also provides a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus containing the electrophotographic photosensitive member.

An electrophotographic photosensitive member comprising a conductive support, a photosensitive layer and a protective layer containing a setting resin, characterized in that the photosensitive layer contains a resin which has a glass transition point of 170.degree. An electrophotographic photosensitive member is constituted by a support and a photosensitive layer disposed on the support. The photosensitive layer includes a fluorene compound represented by a formula (1) and a stilbene compound represented by a formula (4). The combination of such compounds is effective in improving resistances to abrasion, crack and crystallization of the resultant photosensitive layer.
